Captain's Quick Report: OAKS featuring the Remediators

The OAKS (Oldfurlong Amazing Koncert Series) continues forth to prove an experience of musical wonders with each band that ever plays upon invitation to that community of Oldfurlong -- Hobbit Organizer Miss Acorne herself announced back there in the village greens that next Month on the 22nd Day shall be the special time of year where a likely Forest of OAKS will be planned to take place, though more details will be likely published soon in that Shire newspaper known as the Bramblebury Gazette.  If anything akin to last year's spectacular event, where since then already a good number of talented artists have created moving drawings of all the bands that performed -- it promises to be fantastic and festive a time!

On the subject of greens, and village greens for that matter – such a fine location it was, as it always is in Oldfurlong it appears, for the great host of musicians called ‘The Remediators’ to perform; for they too were dressed in mighty greened attire which would have been most fitting for a Bullroarer Took Day celebration Hobbits do celebrate – though perhaps it more likely that green is simply a most choice colour they decided was appropriate a theme to wear!  Some declare yellow their favorite, others orange, some purple, and some green, I hear! Hoho!

But enough upon that trail of thought… back there in Oldfurlong was a most splendid concert of lyrics and songs indeed by The Remediators – the audience was of extended merry dancing and cheer that the musicians themselves instilled through their instruments – and such lively tunes after another with most compelling lyrics were sung, and stories told!   Most interesting and gladdening to hear is that though this is their first known performance in our immediate parts of Middle-Earth, this band and it's members have some connections to a group known as 'Coureserrim', whom as an organization are also linked to the 'Coursera' kinship that exists too, though the extent of their relationship to one another is unknown to me.  From this ol' Bree Captain's observations, it certainly appears that overall -- both groups have nurtured outstanding personalities and passion among it's memberbase to engage, and participate, with great joy and kindness in the activities and culture of the lands we inhabit.

Just as I wrote of the Polnolunie during their concert in Bree just earlier before the OAKS, where they also demonstrated an outstanding creative penchant for lyrics and stories infused into their songs, so too have The Remediators proven such the same talent -- that is worthy of reason to enjoy, in the moment, their great music and performances that only such quality musicians as them and others, can share with the world so well.  This was a most fine time indeed, an outstanding time as always!

P.S.

As the days draws closer to when a rumoured ‘Anniversary Festival’ period will take Middle-Earth by storm and many Free Folk celebrate, there is immediately on the horizon otherwise the Rory and Gaby Project musicians bringing forth most interesting tunes no doubt over in the region of Evendim, where Lake Evendim itself lies.  Though the venue will actually be at High King’s Crossing, atop the Colossus statue there from generations past and beyond – so a magnificent view of the surroundings and the Lake itself to be sure!

Should folk be in need of some assistance reaching the venue, I will be lending a hand as an experienced Captain by way of a summoning horn we are issued when we have made our ways in the world long enough!  Interested parties needing a hand need only contact me at their convenience!  An additional Captain from the Order of the White Flame is also due to assist then at the same time, by name of Kalibane – should you, Master Reader, indeed be planning to make the journey then for the occasion, be sure to write or get hold of either of us!

Elsewhere in Middle-Earth, the first week of next Month also heralds a coming Shire May Queen Election that Hobbits are organizing for themselves within the Shire, it will be most interesting to read the results of what the neighbours of Bree from across the Brandywine decide on when the voting is all hence over – I look forward indeed to reading the Bramblebury Gazette for the latest news once it becomes published and reaches us in the Bree-land.

The Order of the White Flame and their musical band, the ‘White Flames’, are also set to take to an open rehearsal.  Miss Trincia herself told me to me that plans are for it to take place in the Gundalaf Homesteads once again, sometime next week from now.  Further details should appear in posters soon around the major towns, settlements, and event listings, it was mentioned.
