Background
Comes from a long line of smiths who excelled at crafting armor, weaponry and fine jewelry, as well as prospectors who traveled far and wide from established Halls, looking for new ores and untapped veins. That is how her family came to settle in White Mountains.
However, some generations back a conflict with a prominent Zigil-jâbal guildmaster caused the family to be barred from joining any of the White Mountains' Crafting Guilds.
Being Master Craftsmen in their own right, and possessing a few trade secret of their own, Halfris' ancestors pridefully decided to teach their children themselves. Although the family did produce many more smiths of renown, after several generations none could deny the decline of their art.
Being first in many years to show promise and dedication to the Craft, Halfris finally got her parents' blessing to travel to another Hall in order to gain an apprenticeship and, in time, a Guild membership there.
