Captain's Quick Report: Traveling Bilberries at the Yard Party
Special are those hours where the bonds of community and welcoming friends are so strong that entire moments spend together are merely the backdrop for, what Hobbits must call, an excellent party. Each of the Traveling Bilberries a familiar face for many throughout the Shire-bounds no doubt, or for those of us lucky to have visited often enough from farther away. That combination of individuals, each known for their own contributions to Hobbit life through the many, various, organizations/projects/kinships/efforts they are each apart of, form, now as one, a special spirit within the Traveling Bilberries that was not lost upon my observations today at the Yard Party where they thus performed just an hour or so ago!
Though the travels are not always easy from Bree-land, it has continued to prove well worth the journey to make for the Michel Delving and the Bird and Baby Inn; upon those days where such public celebrations are planned, and talented bands perform… with visitors invited from near and far to make for these special occasions in good heart and cheer.
Master Reader, if the music they played and the true moments of the Yard Party could be played again to you as it happened, breath for breath, second by second... I would surely do so if such was my ability. Alas, moving drawings are not hence my strength, and rough sketches – that do not move, nor conjure magical sounds from seemingly thin air – are all I can manage.
But for all that, dear Reader – know that it is among these folk both Little and Big; so often within the Shire-bounds, at warming gatherings such as this; that the spirit of the Free Peoples are kept ever so alive… and a tradition born of kindly hearts, whom give of themselves time and energy to bring to us a better world that feels ever more alive for those of us elsewhere within Middle-Earth.
Well done to the Traveling Bilberries tonight! From the many different (though some similar no doubt) paths you come from, together your collaboration is one to celebrate as friends, and as audience alike. Outstanding!

P.S.
The next week appears to be quite a busy one with several happenings one after the other; the musicians known thus as 'Black Salad Day' will be performing at the Bird and Baby Yard Party, with quite the seemingly familiar faces if the drawings advertising it are anything to go by, hohoho. The 'Polnolunie' will be presenting a concert in Bree titled 'All That You Want', and with the lyrics and true-stories it is said the songs will be about, it sounds very promising! On the same day will be the OAKS with the Remediators, far into the Shire where the village of Oldfurlong lies. I shall have to dance expertly with my time should my schedule take a certain turn for that day!
After that busy day, it will hence be on towards Evendim, where the 'Rory and Gaby Project' musicians will be performing. Rumours tell of an Anniversary Festival that will be upon us shortly after, with Spring seasonal activities planned much later this year than perhaps traditionally known. Tales speaking of Hobbits continuing to prepare for a Shire May Queen election continue to surface as well.
Overview Collection
(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshow coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like. The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!
Viewing the album embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded. In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc! Thanks for reading.
Extra Note: Remember as well that these screenshots don't capture every word and line spoken by those singing songs or reading out poems and stories! Don't expect to catch everything that was said, but you should get a general gist/idea of the kind of things that were said at least! ))
