The early morning sun rose against the green grassy hills of the Wold as flowers of all sorts were illuminated in the orange warmth that made the dew glitter like stars. Wrapped up in his warm gambeson, Langhund stood in the middle of the training ring whilst the only company he had was the mice that ran around the stables. His red locks blew against his face, as his leather band was for once missing from his forehead. A smile was on his lips, as he dug a wooden javelin into the trodden mud.
He had set out targets earlier on, and now he had decided it was time for training, something he had been trying to do more often now. His cloth bound palm gripped around the wooden shaft, as he lifted the javelin upwards as he aimed up. His left foot stood out infront of him as he aimed whilst breathing inwards through his nose. Then with one quick step forward, he pushed forwards as releasing the javelin to send it through the air! Red hair swung around as he threw it, whipping into his face as he regained his balance just as he heard a thunk. Up his brown eyes trailed as locking onto where it hit, and a proud smile came to his lips as it hit near the center of the target. He turned around, as lifting another before throwing it forward with no aiming though all his might as his white teeth bit into his lip. This time there was no thunk, but instead a sound similar to a shovel digging up the ground as the metal tip dug into the earth.
From a stable nearby, a brown head poked out with hay between its lips. Its head reared up as he noticed Hund training, watching in interest as the third javelin was thrown, it hitting into the wooden board once more. Brown eyes set upon the wild-steed, and a smile came to his lips as he meandered over; a hand out reaching to meet with the nose of the animal.
"Good morning, Wild-one.", he smirked as he ran his hand underneath the horses jaw as scratching it which made its head shake from side to side. "Ja, good horse.." He then patted his hand upon its neck, before turning and returning to the javelins as training some more.
An hour or so passed, and the sun now was fully in the sky instead of peaking over the horizon. The beating of hooves in dirt caught Hund's attention, turning around to see a white horse coming towards him and upon his head was the Maegister, Cynebur . A smirk came upon his lips, as sending a mock salute.
"Westhu, Fair Maegister!", he called out as stepping to the side to allow her to ride in next to him, as she judged the results of his throwing.
"Hmm.. there is work to be done with you, Hound..", she chuckled slightly, before climbing down from her horse.
"I have a proposition for you, Maegister.. and no, this one was not like the last." He chuckled, before he explained moreso. It was similar to a game of hide and seek, as he wanted her to hide and him to track and before long he was turned around with his eyes covered. Footsteps disappeared, and he turned around as bending down, inspecting the clues around him.
It had taken him a few minutes, but he had soon got onto the trial of the woman clad in her armour. Following it with his face close to the ground, truly like a hound sniffing the dirt as he made his way towards the stables. A quick inspection soon found the blonde woman, as a grin came to his lips. "The Hund is getting better at tracking too..".
Cynebur grinned slightly, nodding her surprise at her skills. "The Hund is getting better at -some- things.. though there is still training to be done."
