Captain's Quick Report: Yard Party with Instant Play

Busy have I been of late in the last recent weeks, and months; work elsewhere and abroad has begun to increase as I travel about on business, alongside other matters of life importance needing attention here and there.  But if there should be one thing of delight this old Bree Captain can often return to in these lands, it would be those fine occasions where so often in the Shire-bounds, dear Hobbits and so many of their friends from near and far, tall or short, gather together for momentus celebrations; where music and dancing are the order of the day, and merriment only so often found amongst that company of Hobbit culture can be invoked merely by their presence and surrounding friends.

And today with thanks to the Instant Play musicians did such a fine tradition that is the Bird & Baby Yard Parties continue to hold true in such spirit that I have ever experienced when visiting into the Shire-bounds, on those very privileged occasions!

I would do great injustice to attempt describing the sort of melodies and tunes this band performed; sometimes there is just too few words in our known time that can accurately put forth the truth of how these songs feel, the dancing they impart, some of the stories and emotions they invoke!  Truly, as has been said elsewhere many times; you must have been here, to experience it all first-hand for the wonders and joy such gatherings are!  Either that, or perhaps the odd, but rare artist who can make compelling moving drawings might do the trick as well... but 'tis still not quite the same as being there in the present I suppose!

With little reluctance however, I can surmise to you Master Reader, that there was much slow and lively moments throughout the night (and seemingly day, then back to night again!) -- and when such folk are about ye that the music is soaring, the dancing roaring, and atmosphere simply outstanding from beginning to end; one such as I can only retire for the night and settle for the long journey back to Bree-land with but a few lingering glows of thought...

When next will the Instant Play perform?  And what have organizers and helpers such as Miss Bilbeto and Miss Toadflax of the Bird & Baby Yard Party hence planned next?

P.S.
Although there was an odd absence of the known central organizer, Miss Bilbeto herself, at today's eventful gathering, there was an announcement by Miss Toadflax describing the next week's coming Yard Party to be hosted in the north-eastern parts of the Shire, a place known as the Brockenborings -- where Hobbits gather each year to celebrate a famed figure in their history; a fabled hero known as Bullroarer Took.  Further word has it that this year's celebrations will also include a poetry competition among other activities!  While events within the Shire-bounds often are put on by Hobbits, for Hobbits -- special occasions such as this have been sometimes drawn visitors from far away, and for this particular event guests of other races are noted as being welcome to visit.  If you can make the long but worthwhile journey of course, depending on where you hail from!

Elsewhere in Middle-earth, I have heard rumours that scholared Dwarves recently took to travelling Ered Luin to learn more about their homeland and history in those parts.  In distant lands known only as Rohan by some, there is word a stirring call to gather for a Witan has been issued by the Riders of the Riddermark; there are supposedly posters in a village known as Hartholt that further indicate some sort of attempt at activity being made in those far lands.  More closer upon home in and around of Bree, I have received news of the possible return of a Dwarf whom once led Veinbolt's Company, and that many of his followers now reside in Bree-town seeking him out.  Further sources indicate there may be plans to make for the Blue Mountains if this company is successfully rallied and returned to active affairs.

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshows coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like.  The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!

Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded.  In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc!  Thanks for reading. ))
