Two weeks ago, on a sunny though cold afternoon in Stangard..
The door of the house flung open, and out stepped Langhund, with a grin wide on his lips. His gambeson was done roughly up, and his iron belt hanging undone with his fiery red locks ruffled and hanging over his face. His cheeks were reddened, as if he had been exercising even though his appearance showed different..
Following shortly behind, were two women. One with blonde hair tied up, and another with red hair hanging down and around her face. They both still wore their night dresses, as they stepped out into the light of day, squinting at the thing they had not yet seen today. The red hair, Torhild, spoke out while the blonde, Leofa, stayed behind her for now.
"Do you really need to leave for Harwick, Hund? Can't you stay with me and her just for one more night?", she gave him a begging look, while Leofa behind her let out a, "Pleeeeease?" with a pout coming to her lips.
"Nay, you two! I must go, otherwise I will be stuck here in chains. I will return though, and make sure you both get the treatment you deserve.. as well as Gytha is she up for it next time.", the red-haired man grinned as he looked over towards the house he came from, where another woman slept in her own bedroom.
"Aw... well, make sure to come back to us.. and soon! There is still much more to be done!", they both giggled, before they both planted a kiss onto both of Hund's cheeks before entering back into the house.
With a grin on his lips, Langhund wandered down to the gate as doing up his belt, raising a hand towards the eomaegister, Byrwine, and after a slight argument, Hund found himself sitting upon the back of a pony that could just about carry him. He plodded out of the large wooden gates, looking over his shoulder to see the prison of a town he had been in for the past ten winters.
Onwards he rode, crossing into the Wold and before long he found himself at the entrance to some training grounds, just where the messenger had told him to go. Slowly he plodded in, looking around with a smirk on his lips as his eyes scanned the shieldmaidens from head to toe, before he found the line of new recruits. Training had begun..
