A Lore Walk in Ered Luin

The Blue Mountains, or, in Sindarin, as most of you will know them, 'Ered Luin', are rich in lore. Here were fought great battles, and here were raised (and then razed) the great cities of Tumunzahar and Gabilgathol. Thorin's Hall stands proudly among snowy peaks, while, further south, the Elves of Edhelion make their homes by the River Lune.

Of course, Ered Luin today isn't just about history. The land teems with wildlife, the rivers run with fish. Hardy trees and plants bloom in their season, and ancient rocks that still remember Durin The Deathless now offer ore to Dwarven miners.
