Cynebur watched the maps intently "Then we will ride without markings. Choose the best and loyal ones for the tasks there. Keep few on the watch, those with quick horses. Does that sound.. bold, bordering for us to be hanged if it's heard?"
Régnwald couldn't hide the glimpse in his green eyes as the maiden's words brought him to a matter he could agree. He gave a crooked smirk and shook his head, ''Bold enough I guess,''
Cynebur looked towards Régnwald "One way or another we always pull a shorter end, we are blamed for too much force or too little effort, forgetting we are doing what they order in the end.
The commander could fully agree with her, though he decided to remain silent. After a while he continued with a tilt of his head, ''I will keep that in mind, of course. I also hope that we can recruit more on our way to East-Wall, if that ever happens...'' he gave a sarcastic grin in the end.
Cynebur murmured loudly and sighed "Bloody guts of a boar, now you are making me wish to accept the "honor" of mægrad just to repair this wrongs in this lands."
Régnwald chuckled lightly and straightened, taking his eyes off from the rolled map. ''I have no doubt that your decisions will be for good... still...'' he paused for a moment, allowing himself sometime to think what to say.
''...you would need a beard for that.''
Régnwald smiled widely as he completed his sentence.
Cynebur took a sip of mead as she was keeping a cup in her hand. "I saw a woman with beard, ye know? perhaps i could nurture one on me. Hm?" she mimicked the way her captain strokes his beard most often "But my beard would be so fine, all women would start to chase me instead of the Hund."
Régnwald burst into a light chuckle, putting a hand on his waist ''Yeah, and Wyrd's good fortune upon the woman choosing you!'' He also took a sip from the cold mead.
Cynebur stopped and things of what that really sounded and burst into a laughter "Béma save me, this mead is strong."
''Oi! Any woman would be happy to have me!''
Régnwald nodded sarcastically and held onto table to keep his balance ''Haha, I'm sure of it! Is that after or before they go to bed with you?'' he arched a playful brow and glanced down to the maiden sitting on the well designed chair.
''Well for sure it would after, I know what women love!'' the maiden laughed and added "Believe me, where are needs there are means to do it."
Régnwald shook his head few times, grinning widely. After a moment of teasing eachother, he turned to change the subject ''My sister told me to send her best wishes to you, and she also may have a gift for you, though I'm not certain... She loves giving presents.''
''Oh, how kind..I hope its not a horn with red ribbon, I have one already.''
''Nay, she's into embroidery nowadays.''
''Oh, that's really good for her.''
Régnwald gave his hands to the air, and relented, ''Yes, yes, but I care not. I rather prefer a shirt without my sister's embroidery. Have you ever felt them? Itchy and course as a hog's nose!'' He shuddered at the thought.
''And probably he would send her wrath against me had she ever heard my thoughts.''
''Shame on you, it's sister's hard work!''
Régnwald scratched his neck at the thought, but he managed to give an innocent grin.
''Ill buy her a horn, perhaps that would keep her off the embrodiery. And save you.''
''I appreciate if you do that for me... - My eyes are telling me it's time to rest, and I shan't argue! You should rest too, been a long ride.''
Cynebur nodded and just closed her eyes as she sat on the chair, in heavy chainmail; too tired and tipsy to move. "Ill do that Æthelwigend hãl."
The commander paced around the table with quiet steps and stood tall before her, ''Good night, will see you later.'' he merely blinked and strode off to upstairs with long, confident steps.
