Captain's Quick Report: The Wedding of Zag and Dana.
Ah! So swift in travels from here to there must I make often on business, but it appears at least that the blurred journey from the Shire back to Bree-land allowed for a near timely arrival to the Bree Festival Grounds in particular today, where it was said amongst Bree-town that a wedding between an exiled 'Dark Elf' Lord named Zagzeroth and a Lady of Rohan by name of Galdana was to take place.
And take place it did; though I suspect perhaps the actual ceremony itself might have just been missed by several minutes perhaps by the time the grounds came into view. For after presenting both Lord and Lady the gifts I had been tasked by to deliver, the gathering moved towards the tents on the western side of the festival grounds.
It was a most smallish audience and selection of guests that seemed to be present; something that spoke well perhaps of a humble intent for the wedding -- a chance for those particularly close to the wedding couple to attend, celebrate, and cheer for their new-married friends, perhaps even family. It was difficult to discern any particular names of faces, and it was beyond this ol' Bree Captain's knowledge who was perhaps friend or family to the Lord Zagzeroth or Lady Galdana directly. There was an invitation to stay and enjoy the food set upon the tables for us, and a bard even seemed present whom played quite the lovely and gentle tunes said to be from lands far away as Dale!
A calm break this certainly was from many other scheduled events and business I often embark on throughout the land on behalf of the Bree Captain's Guild, and soon it was made known the remaining folk, including the couple themselves I believe, would be returning to Bree-town and close to the Prancing Pony -- now that the event at the Bree Festival Grounds had run it's course.
I bid a farewell to Master Zagzeroth, Exiled Dark-Elven Lord -- and watched as he made his way into the distance, the last of the gathering to depart the Bree Festival Grounds. There are not too many rough sketches and drawings from this event to share with this early report, as I was quite winded and tired after having made such long journeys from Bree-land to the Shire and back -- throughout what felt like the same day -- for multiple scheduled events! It was nevertheless a fine wedding couple to see in Bree-land, and the folk who did appear in person to celebrate it with them.
There is soon in a few days to be the 'Aleford Band' performing in the village of Oldfurlong, back west into the lands of the Shire and Hobbit-folk; as part of this month's scheduled OAKS (Oldfurlong Amazing Koncert Series) organized regularly by the one and only Miss Acorne! I've received further news that the White Flames band with Miss Trincia will be even farther away in the region known as Gúndalaf, part of the Falathlorn Homesteads in Ered Luin; performing a concert for all races to attend with the theme of 'Laterna Magica' music -- which sounds very intriguing! The Bramblebury Gazette also seems to have published some early dates already to arrive in the next coming Month, so there appears plenty more in the future to prepare for as always -- hohoho!
