Captain's Quick Report: Struck by Moonlight at the Yard Party

Magnificent was tonight's music and the band behind it; three Hobbits -- Miss Belayas, Miss Thoca, and Miss Lamenca -- forming the 'Struck by Moonlight' troupe which played to great clapping and cheers from the audience.

Spirited and with excellent preparation did they unfurl each song one after another, some were unknown to me, others sounded oddly familiar but played upon different notes; slightly different rhythms than previous renditions I'd heard of.  And it was wonderful to be surprised at these times -- for the creativity of musicians and music itself is no better demonstrated than at these joyful parties organized so often by the outstanding Miss Bilbeto.  As well as helped by other patrons of the event, including the bands that visit to play, and passionate supporters such as Miss Toadflax and Miss Acorne among so many wonderful familiar faces throughout.

Winding down the night, another band of merry Hobbits, known as the 'Brandywine n Biscuits' stepped forward to play a selection of tunes to accompany the closing of the event and departure of the audience for their dwellings and beds.  Such proves how much patrons of this event truly do enjoy their Bird and Baby Yard Party each week, and for the legacy and joyous atmosphere it brings to so many folk.

And a special mention is needed for a particular Lady Alkaid for attending the Party and helping maintain an appropriate atmosphere, and later joined by her fellow Master Guftrup in regards to several disturbances reported during the midway of the event.  I think many of the audience, organizers, and performing band were in great happiness afterwards that things could proceed more smoothly from henceforth.  An outstanding salute and thank you -- your actions truly saved an evening for many!

Many interesting things are upon the horizon for this Month -- there's to be members of The Red Company bringing merriment in a planned performance later this week in Bree, and later there is that rumoured Die Bunten Voegel troupe also returning for a performance near Scholar's Walk, also back in Bree-town!  Over on the Bramblebury Gazette, the next Bird and Baby Yard Party will feature the lively Hobbits known as the Evendim Hillbillies -- with interesting familiar faces among their number if I recall correctly!  It will be a most worthwhile journey to see them again in this ol' Bree Captain's books!  The next OAKS in the community of Oldfurlong, south in the Shire, is planned for close to the end of the Month, starring the one and only 'The Aleford Band'!  Another great reason to have my bags and travelling schedule prepared in advance as best as possible!  Hohoho!

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshow coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like.  The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!

Viewing the album embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded.  In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc!  Thanks for reading. ))
