Memories

Lying in his bed as the sun began to rise, Cenwynne began to think back on his life and so happened he had his journal close by as he then picked it up and began to write in it, sometimes looking at the person next to him, Utdred and a smile came across his lips

She came back, I travelled across the plains of Rohan to find her, words, rumors, whispers about her being dead, my hopes failed me when I did not find her at all, I felt as if I failed her, our son, I failed both. So not finding her anywhere I left Rohan and went to Bree once more, perhaps it was something I had overlooked before I left so I looked through all the papers and all notes from our time together, I had not missed anything I saw but where was she then? I began to feel as if I no longer had the tracking knowledge that I once had so I shook my head and tried to keep my last memories of her in my mind, the way she smiled and laughed and the way she used to look at me.

An evening ago I were standing in the main hall by the fire, as I used to then..footsteps..someone came into the hall, after all some friends do still visit and Denstan still stays with me, a good friend he is so I thought it was him so I did not pay any attention at first, then the person started to talk, a softer voice than his..could it be.. I stood up after tending to the fire and looked over towards the voice..it was as if time stood still, did my eyes really play a prank on me? Could it be her? It was...she had come back to Bree, she told me that she could not stand the loss of our son so she left back to Rohan. I told her that it was not her fault, the fault were mine, I could not help them both as our son fell ill and passed just a few days after his birth, I can understand how hard it took her for it took me hard as well, I was in a state of despair then.

We talked for a while about it and our memories of each other adn the times we had before, the evening turned into night, I think we both lost count of time and here we are now, in the early hours of the morning as I can hear her soft breathing, her hand on my chest, I can not help it but smile as I look at her, she looks as she is in peace once more, I know I have found some peace again at last. What the future holds for us both I leave that to be decided then..for now I have to go, I dont want her to read this just yet but I still have feeligns for her and so has she for me, at least she said she does and I do belive her words to be true so forgive me for the moment as I will make sure she does not feel alone when she wakes up.

As he finished writing, Cenwynne placed his journal under the bed, looked at Utdred once more and smiled as he pulled the covers over them both, gave her a soft kiss on the top of her head and fell back into sleep.
