It is early morning as Cenwynne wakes up, his backpack is packed since the evening before, an evening he spent with thoughts on the upcoming trip.. He gets up and dresses himself in his robes, making sure his chainmail shirt and hauberk is on as well before clasping his swordblet around his waists and walks down the stairs and stands by the table in the main room, upon the table a few maps are scatterd as he goes over the route once again. Caithrin enters the workshop as he asked her to do not too long ago and sees Cen by the table and walk over to him with a friendly smile. "Oh..Hello Cait..you all set to leave?" he says as he looks up from the table as he hears her steps on the wooden floor.
"Hello Cen. I am ready. I have some good news as well" shew says to greet him as well. "You have?" he says. Caithrin puts her hand to her pocket and hold up an medallion with the sign of Gondor on it. "I have this, it maybe help us in need." Cenwynne looks at the medallion and nods "Good, that might be handy..and I have a few connections along the way as well.." Caithrin puta the medallion back and tilt her head to listens to him. Cenwynne looks over the maps and then rolls them back into their scrollcases "Lets get going Cait..time is at is waste.." "Letys go" she replies as Cenwynne nods and gestures for the door with his right hand in which he has a little note as well and starts to walk to the front door. As soon as they come outside the door Cenwynne walks up to denstan and hands him the note and says "Denstan..I leave you in charge while I am gone..see to that miss Zetsu gets this note..she knows from who it is.." Denstan nods and takes the note "I shall see to it that she gets it my lord" He then looks over to Caithrin "You look after my lord now lady Caithrin and may Bema watch over you two" Caithrin smiles and nods to Denstan, looking at Cenwynne "I will do my best." she says. "Very well..Farewell my friend for now..I count on you" Cenwynne says to Denstan.
And with those words they sets out on the trip "Do you think we will find him Cait?" Cenwynne asks her as they walk down the path from the workshop. "I will find him. I am not turning back without knowing where he is" Caithrin replies. Cenwynne nods to her words "Good" he syas as he then smiles and whistles as they walk. "I need to check a few things at my house. I will go fast." she says to him "I will wait" he replies. AS they reaches her house Canthrin slips inside it through the door and walks out after ten minutes "Ok I am ready to leave now." The two wanderes starts to walk again "I hope we can reach the outskirts of the Trollshawas by the nightfall" Cenwynne says looking up at the winter sky, the sun barley up yet. "I hope so to. I think we will be fine." Caithrin says and looks up at the sky as well. "Well..the road is long but a high spirit will certainly help us" he says as he continues to whistle.
After few hours they reaches the outskirts of the Lone lands "Every step I take brings more pain for now to my heart Cait, but this is something I have to do for both me and her" Cenwynne says to Caithrin. "I know Cen. What you do is hornouble. Not every man would do this" she replies to him, looking at him with a smile. Cenwynne nods as he continues to whistle old songs from his homeland. As the passes a building Cenwynne looks at it and says "The Forsaken Inn..I have always wondered why they call it so" Caithrin looks at the building as well as she says "I have been in there I did not like it at all.." "Never been in there and probably wont either" he replies, shaking his head at the very weatherd building. Caithrin laughs a short laugh before answering him "I do not recomend it. I prefer to be outside where I can breath" "I shall keep that in mind Cait" he replies to her as they walk on, leaveing Bree land further and further behind. After a while a large ruin upon a hill stands out "The great watch tower of Amun Sûl..." Cenwynne says as he glances up on the ruin. Caithrin looks up and forward and hold her arms tight to around her. "Well..looks like it's going to be winter again.." Cenwynne says as it starts to snow, forcing him to pull up his hood to cover his head from the light snowfall. "Yes, I have bad experiences with trips and winter but may be this time will go better." Caithrin says as she lets the snow fall on her face as she faces up to the sky. "I promise you it will. I gave my word to her that I would look out for you, as you are like a sister for her" Cenwynne says as they walk. Caithrin smiles and she walk on a bit behind him as she gently stroke her stomace gently. She closes her eye´s hard for a short moment. Cenwynne reaches to his belt and unhooks his small waterskin and takes a few sips from it. "I hope this snowfall wont last that long..who knows the Red Horn pass might be blocked by too much snow" Cenwynne says with a slightly worried tone in his voice.
Caithrin looks over at him as she asks him "'I never though about that but maybe it is so. Do we have an ather plan?" "If it is..I think we have to go through Enedwait h as we spoke of" Cenwynne replies as the snowfall intensifies as they walk on "Looks like the snow has intensified Cait, it looks like it might be a chilly night" Caithrin look up to the sky and closes her eye´s and let the snow fall to her face. After a few more hours Cenwynne looks into the distannce and points "The Trollshaws.."Caithrin look at Cen with a bit trubled eye´s. "Did you know about my father?" "I did not Cait.." Cenwynne replies to her. "So, do you wanna hear my story?" she says to him. Cenwynne looks at her and nods "Sure, I will tell you a story by the camp fire then" Caithrin lowers her head and looks at her hand that her holds to her stomace that now have started to shown that something is growing. "I lived at my parents farm togetter with my father. We worked together all and everything. As a young girl I was hard working but I loved it. One day my mom was no where to be found. After that my father started to drink heavily." "Did she just leave or did something happen to her?" Cenwynne says as he listens to her. Caithrin shakes her had as she goes on "We did never know. There was rumors about peoples seen her in Bree but he never found her again." "My condoleances Cait, I hope that you will find out what happened to her" Cenwynne replies.
Caithrin shakes her head again "These days I am just happy that she left him, as I found out later he was not very nice to her." As the sun is setting down behind the tree tops they both cross the last bridge and enters the outskrits of the Trollshaws, there Cenwynne turns and looks at Caithrin with the same serious look he gave her a few days ago in her home "This is it..from here on..there will be no return..are you still with me in this Cait?" Caithrin nods and replies "Of course I am." Cenwynne nods "Good, lets see if we can find a place to camp for the night." As the two stnads there talking a woman appers and hails them. "Hail friends. What brings you this way?" she says, her name was never given to them, Cenwynne turns around and replies to the woman "Hello there, we are tracking down a person, to see if he is still alive or of any other news of his whereabouts." Caithrin smiles and bow a bit to the woman. The woman smiles and stands there a bit before remembering that it would be polite to bow and does so in return. "Does the name Komatsu sound familiar to you my lady?" Cenwynne asks the lady, hoping she might hav eheard of his name. Inayat scratches the back of her head. "Well, ah, I guess I'd better get going. Though it was nice to see some other travelers on this lonely road." as she leaves them standing there "Indeed the same my friend, may fair winds guide you saftley on your journeys." Cenwynne replies watching Inayat waveing as she passes the two.
"Lets find a place to set up camp" Cenwynne sasy to Caithrin and they starts to walk further on the path, suddenly a loud horn signal is heard and Cenwynne stops in his tracks "Cait..Orcs..find cover" he says to her, watching as Caithrin runs down to the side of the road and hides behind a big rock. Cenwynne looks at the road and quickly follows her down to the rock. A small group of orcs comes marching up the road, not far from where they had taken cover, foul looking and swords in their hands, had this group been sent out by someone to find someone. Cenwynne looks around the edge of the stone and whispers to Caithrin as the orcs comes closer "I can count..one..two..three..four..five orcs Cait.." Caithrin moves her hand to the sword just to hold her hand on it to be ready if she need it. She nod´s at Cen. Cenwynne nods back and grabs his sword and draws it and whispers "Make sure they wont get a chance to blow the horn, aim at the neck and swing."
Caithrin slowly lets her bag fall to the ground and she draws her sword and then nods to him to say she is ready. Cenwynne takes off his backpack and rests it on the stone then charges around the corner towards the oncoming orcs with his sword drawn, following him Caithrin runs after Cenwynne and stops next to him. The group of five orcs becomes baffled by the two charging at them as they presnts their weapons and charges towards them, one coming straight for Cait with his sword in a sweeping cut motion from left to right, aimed to kill at impact. Caithrin sees the orc coming for her as she take a step back with her left fot and holds the sword in her right hand but the orc is to fast and he swings his own sword at her and hits her shoulder, resulting in a scream of pain from Caithrin as she stumbles back and holds her free hand to the bleeding wound, she then looks up at him in angar, Caithrin then charges in with high speed towards the orc and swings her body to kick him in the stomach. The orc screams as he sees the blade cutting her shoulder and shows his teeth in return when she comes at him with the kick, as he tries to avoid her kick, as the kick hits the orc it falls to the ground, with a few cracked ribs. Cenwynne chrages straight for the other four orcs, his sword gleaming in the few sunrays that finds their way through the clouds, he makes a sweep motion aimed to seperate the firsts orcs arm from his body, while turning as he has been tought in Snowbourn to avoid an incoming attack, in his turn he sees the orc that goes for Cait and hisses as he sees the orc hitting Caithrin. Meanwhile Caithrin puts her foot to the ground and in the same moment she swings the sword towards the orc to stab he´s chest. Cenwynne grins as he sees Caithrins sword clashing at the orcs shoulder as the orc parires the powerful swing from Cait, Cenwynne in his turns swing his sword at the next orc, simply cutting the head off in one swift strike.
Caithrin puts her foot on to he´s chest and draw the sword out as she push him away as soon as she get the sword out she swings for the orcs throat, seperating the orcs head from its body, in the moments before it becomes seperated the orc grins and says something in Blackspeeach to her as the sword cuts into its neck. Cenwynne screams as he charges the thrid orc, his sword coming at the orc in a thrust motion, aimed for the chest of the orc, the orc chrages towards Cenwynne at the sametime, not paying attention to Cenwynnes sword as it pierces the chest and goes through the orc. Caithrin holds up her sword as she see then forth orc trying to attack her. The blades clashes hard together as she kicks the orc in the crotch hard as she can. Cenwynne curses in Rohirric as he strikes the orc and aims to make the same thrust towards it yet again screaming wildy as he sees the other orc in the corner of his eyes charning forward towards Caithrin. Caithrin looks at the other orc, her eye´s are now black in angar as she runs towards it, then just before she is close to him she jumps and hold her sword over her head aiming for the orcs head head. The final orc who is battleing out with Caithrin takes a sidestep and sees Caithrins attack miss him. As Caithrin lands she spinns around and the sword is going for the throat of the final orc who parries her sword with a grin. Cenwynne turns around, dragging his sword from the dead orc and charages towards the last orc as in an attempt to thrust his sword into the orcs back as ithe orc is busy with fighting Caithrin.
The orc screams loud into the now ever darkening wood when Cenwynnes sword pierces his skin and body and makes a gurgeling nosie as it slomps down to the ground. Cenwynne looks towards Caithrin and nods towards her shoulder "Are you alright Cait?" A rather large open wound can be seen on his side of his forehead as blood runns down his cheek
Caithrin looking as the last of the orcs falls down dead and then up on Cennwynne, taking a deep and fast breath as she see the blood to his forehead. "You are bleeding!"
Cenwynne brings his left hand to the right side wher the wound is and winches sliggtly from the pain "Its just a flesh wound, dont worry Cait, are you alrigght, I heard you scream.." Caithrin look down at her shoulder. The blood is flowing. "I may need to get to a camp to take care of this. Is ir near?" "It is, lets hurry, lets get our backpacks and leave" Cenwynne replies. Cenwynne slings his backpack back on his back and looks to Cait and nods. Caithrin gets her backpack with her with her good arm. "Keep your sword at the ready" Cenwynnes voice is now worried for the both of them and for what might come next as the make theor way to a camp in the wood, wher ethey tend to the injuries. Cenwynne stiches Caithrins wound close after he made sure it was clean and dressed it in a bandage. And not long after that the two fell asleep on their own bedrolls, exhausted from the fight.
