Captain's Quick Report: Hobbit Heart Yule Performance

Oh, the Hobbit Heart Yule Performance!  Organized in collaboration between Hobbit Heart and Shire Rose -- the ability members of these two groups have in telling stories, together with musical song -- there is something outstanding in the manner they do so.  Often with Hobbit-like values, infused with the spirit of their culture, the lessons learned speak to the heart in simple ways at the end of songs and stories.  And the tale told this night was nothing short of such!

And perhaps it is their very success of this style of performance and story-telling that has continued to reach the ears of others across the land.  For even Elves of Vanimar -- whom I once witnessed encounter a band of Hobbits travelling through lands of the Trollshaws on a historical field trip to reach Enedwaith -- were there this night in the Brockenborings, standing with grace to the side as the Yule performance continued it's course, and more than a few times adding their dancing and applause to the audience at large in enjoyment of the music, and tale being told.  Why, even the Master Khalis, once of the Warband of Imladris, an alliance honouring those of Elves and Men -- sadly rumoured to be released from their oaths and disbanded -- arrived for some time to watch as well this Yule performance by Hobbits.

Dwarves too, or at least once was I able to spot, was present in the crowd throughout.  And of the race of Man there were several faces I recognized with inward joyous cheer.  Of the Hobbits there was nothing lacking in numbers from these folks this night -- the entire stone wall lining the path to the Plough and Stars, the inn and tavern in the Brockenborings where this Yule theatrical and musical was taking place, was filled with cheering, clapping, and dancing of the Halfling folk.  Surely in the sketches you may see later on attached to this Quick Report, it was a sight that set such a mood for an atmosphere of enjoyable time, for the remainder of the night and telling of the performance.

It was with regret that several other faces I hoped to see could not be found by mine eyes while the performance drew on, such as intrepid Master Silon of the Twilburrs, nor Miss Lina of The Grand Order, but it's also evident that this week itself is no doubt a busy one for many I imagine -- where there be events of celebration here, performances there, a gathering over yonder -- there must have been many of the Free Peoples whom have obligation to attend elsewhere out of duty, family, or perhaps even important work, I'm sure.  In fact, this Hobbit Heart Yule Performance shall be one of the last ones I believe my schedule on behalf of the Bree Captain's Guild has time to allow for -- at least until well close to when the final few days of this coming year's end is upon us.

Then, sometime rumoured on the Twenty-Eighth of this Month, there will be a 'Winter home wassailing' to take place -- a group known as the Brandy Badgers will travel through the streets of Winterhome, where much Yule celebrations of their own are happening; open for many visitors and travellers to journey to -- and share music and well wishes with the many folk who dwell there.  And after that, there is to be another event I anticipate with joy -- the OAKS over in the Oldfurlong village where many Hobbits reside, including a Miss Acorne whom organizes each month a musical band of talent to perform for both residents and visiting guests willing to travel there to enjoy an eventful time of celebration as well.

Forthcoming days may they be joyous and fulfilling in happiness for you, Master Reader.
