Captain's Quick Report: Bree-Land Chicken Run
Before this report begins, I will point you, Master Reader -- towards Issue 11-13 'When the fright becomes real...' of the Bramblebury Gazette, a written piece visible on the front page of this particular edition. Within are details of a solemn gathering, that took place in a far land, just shortly after chickens and herders will have departed from Sandson's Farm. As an ol' Bree Captain, I acknowledge this happening and hope better for future days to come!
On a journey from the Shire, into Bree-town itself... then into the Midgewater Marshes, back into Bree, north to the Hengstacer Farm, and finally to the Eastern Bree-fields towards the lake named Nen Harn -- chickens and herders alike certainly can be said to have toured a good part of the Bree-land as part of this adventure embarked. There was by coincidence the White Flames band (the musical talent of the larger Order of the White Flame organization) plying music, as the fine-feathered travellers made a flapping arrival to the fountain just outside the Prancing Pony, and playing still were they when the group made it's second return through Bree on the way north!
Seven chickens from that famous Farmer Sandson did set out from the Shire, with a company of herders numbering around eight or ten throughout, on the average. One pecking friend of feathered nature, by name of Jerremiah, was assumed missing by final counting at Nen Harn, but the rest made it safely after a great swimming that -- to lively poultry such as this -- Lake Nen Harn was surely to them what the fabled Lake Evendim is to most Free Peoples!
A fine touring of the Bree-land this was, for chickens and herders alike I'd say. And perhaps it could also be said -- being well-travelled, makes for a well-rounded chicken in the end, hohoho!

P.S.
One last remaining week of this month, and then onwards into the month of midwinter celebrations and yule cheer. Many postings of events and coming festivities have already begun to make it's rounds among the Free Peoples, and my current copy of the 'Bramblebury Gazette' publication, from the Shire, lists more than a few unique gatherings as well! The 'Tablets of Khazadgund', a currently rare, but growing source of news from the lands of Dwarven-folk, also have several new additions to read about.
