Captain's Quick Report: Die Mondbarden at the Yard Party

A written piece by Miss Toadflax in the Bramblebury Gazette, a newspaper distributed amongst the Shire-bounds and beyond, wrote this of the Moonminstrels ( or also known as the Die Mondbarden band) early in the month:

"Visiting from the faraway Belegaer lands, Die Mondbarden 'play songs we like ourselves - from all times and all four wind directions - including unfamiliar melodies' , and if you have heard this band already, you know they are not to be missed, and if you have not, you know now."

Not only did music and songs of intriguing character urge the feet to dance, hands to clap, but there was also the atmosphere of a fairly sizable crowd, having come from both near and far places to the Bird and Baby to see this fantastic musical troupe.  Faces new and old were there to share the joy with, and to many melodies did the audience step lively to with resounding cheers to follow after many of the pieces ended!

A well done to the Die Mondbarden, or the Moonminstrels otherwise, your music and performance were of an outstanding quality and style which in keeping with the weekly Bird and Baby Yard Party's reputation, made this ol' Bree Captain's journey from Bree-land all the more worth it once again!  Hohoho!

But alas, though today I did not miss an event that was not to be missed, it bears mentioning that I've recently returned from a week-long trip, on urgent business to faraway places myself, and I've unfortunately missed several other events, perhaps arguably not to have been missed either!  Most notably was the 'Department of Harmony and Song' performance as the featured band at the Yard Party in the last week(s), and then the surely outstanding 'Grand Order 8th Anniversary' gathering which took place just two days afterwards, the latter in celebration particularly of the Grand Order of the Lost Mathom to be precise.

Though my heart is disheartened such long trips away from these lands on urgent Guild business often has meant the missing of such fine events, 'tis all the better to cherish those times I do, by chance, become able to attend gatherings where warmth and cheer are amongst those present; and often with good music, activity, food, and eventful celebration or learning!  Why, perhaps a drawing or two have already been published, somewhere out there, of the event!

On the horizon of the coming weeks to pass, there is supposedly a visit in a few days to the Bree-land by a group coming from the famous farms of Farmer Sandson, whom often is known for his prized eggs and feathery birds of adventerous quality.  Then in the next Month, there are more Bird and Baby Yard Party gatherings open to all races to travel and attend (notably the next immediate one being with the anticipated Brandy Badgers), the 'Cook and Brewer of the Year' by Durin's Folk will be hosted in Michel Delving, and then as the Yule festivities and end of year finally draws closer there will be the 'Zappa' musical concert by the White Flames; the theatrical and musical 'Hobbit Heart Yule Performance' by Shire Rose and Hobbit Heart; and also the next OAKS concert in the distant village of Oldfurlong, which according to the current edition of the Bramblebury Gazette at this time of writing, should have more details published soon!
