Captain's Quick Report: The Grand Journey Home: Rivendell to Echad Dunann

Achoo!  ...Is what has been uttered by my mouth these last hours, just having finished finding a bedding dry enough to rest and recover myself these next coming days -- right after leaving the remainder of those Hobbits in Echad Dunann, by the open-air map table just a few yards away, to continue their merry dancing and singing of ale, amongst those not already off napping as I plan to do shortly!

However it would not be a Quick Report would it; if this ol' Bree Captain did not recount briefly, at least, the long journey it has been from Rivendell to here -- many nights and rains... much like today... it must be how I've caught this brief cold!  But there were many sunny days too, of warmth and good company the entire way; as the collection of sketches and colored drawings attached to this report will reveal.  Why, quite a ways into Eregion, by a campfire stop, there arrived a patrol of Dwarves from the fabled Blue Mountains Regiment

And though the weapon-savvy Hobbits of the group continued to do quite fine with keeping the company well safe of the more aggressive creatures amongst this open wildlands of Eregion, it was additionally uplifting to see such military precision and guardsmanship manuevers from these Dwarves as they kept watch at resting points, and made the remainder of the journey an immensely safe travelling experience, much like those Elves from the Trollshaws weeks ago.

Why might this ol' Bree Captain be in Eregion, the Master Reader asks?  To scout ahead and report back to the Bree Captain's Guild, on my badge as a travelling representative of the Guild of course!  Not many of our membership has ventured forth this far for regular operations or Guild business, and so it seems they deemed it appropriate to send me southwards from Rivendell to assess the potential of future activity here on behalf of the Guild.

...Aaahchoo!  Is once again what this poor ol' Bree Captain's face and body is uttering again now... and I'll quickly end this early report and begin sorting through the rough sketchings and illustrations from my part to send with this written piece -- and then after, I can finally rest.  Them Hobbits are still playing music just up the hill there I think, and the Blue Mountains Regiment Dwarves have departed long ago already for other matters of business.

The last leg of the journey for these Hobbits in reaching Enedwaith, for their final goal of seeking out rumours of their kin living there, will be set to take place soon as an adventure to travel from here in Echad Dunann to Maur Tulhau... said to be within the Gloomglens, a part of Enedwaith somewhere far south from here in Eregion.

So far from home and my usual area of operations as a travelling Bree Captain, these Hobbits will most likely leave for the direction of Enedwaith, and I shall likely then be back on the road towards the Bree-land; these Hobbits may be fit and ready for journeying so far from the bounds of their home -- but this Bree Captain still needs some ways to go before I can start venturing farther, and as far, as these Shire-folk have planned!  Hohoho!

Signed,

Captain Naismithea Willarc

Watcher of Roads
Representative of the Bree Captain's Guild
Officer of the Sworn Wanderers

P.S.

Note from Naismithea: Before proceeding onwards with viewing the following sketches, drawings and paintings, do note, dear Reader, that there are many to peruse!  With luck, venture forth only at your own risk, and with plentiful time on yours hands, and the willing spirit!  Also, while it may appear many of the pictures fully capture some stories or conversations given during the event, line for line -- there is in reality many parts not recorded by any of my drawings or sketches, and so do take care in understanding that what you may see in these collections are not a complete and full recording of the stories spoken or conversations seen!  Though they should give you a hearty idea!

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshows coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like.  The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!

Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded.  In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc!  Thanks for reading. ))
