Captain's Quick Report: Fishing Contest in Overhill
Another successful catching of fish was had today by those attending the fishing contest in the Shire, hosted by the renowned Shire Angling Club. Not those helping out the poor folk situated around Bywater and the Farmer's Faire mind you, but those whom instead were around the area of Overhill by the Bindbole Woods, northwards from Hobbiton-Bywater itself.
But there's a lot to do since returning from my two-week business trip of sorts, already have I heard early accounts of the grand spectacle that was this year's 'Harnkegger Games', or perhaps the honorably celebratory occasion which was the 'Bards Day Concert' for writer Master Ronald Dwale (( Tolkien’s in-game alter ego )), and then continued reports keep coming in of Hobbits leaving the Shire on the first leg of their journey from Frogmorton to Bree as part of their longer quest to reach Enedwaith, and the Gloomglens area within -- where tales have it distant kin of theirs still live. And then of course there are the few instances where the Maidens of Vanimor performed in the last weeks that I regretfully missed, and finally of course this month's OAKS; Oldfurlong Amazing Koncert Series event, featuring the famously popular die Bunten Voegel.
Oh how there is much that this ol' Bree Captain has regretfully missed, and I must get busy catching up where I can. So with that in mind, today's outstanding Overhill Fishing Contest I shall let the drawings and sketches accompanying this early report speak on my behalf, while I get to work preparing for other occasions swiftly approaching our way in Middle-earth.
Signed,
Captain Naismithea Willarc
Watcher of Roads
Representative of the Bree Captain's Guild
Officer of the Sworn Wanderers
P.S.
After all, there's the numerous Bird and Baby Yard Parties to still look forward to, as well as the more distant 'Harvest Tales - Songs and Stories of the Harvest', in addition surely Miss Acorne and information on the next OAKS concert will soon be listed on the Bramblebury Gazette as well, and finally do rumours ever continue to abound that the Shire hobbits on the historical adventure to visit far-off kin in Enedwaith will be most likely seen passing through south-east Bree-land and into the Lone-lands towards the resting point of Ost Guruth sometime soon this week, or so the tales go!

(( Disclaimer: Hello folks, I'd like to caution you that taking a look at the embedded slideshows coming up below will likely not go too well if your in a hurry, and hoping to just get a 'general gander' at what the event was like. The 'Overview Collection' above is more suited for that!
Viewing the albums embedded below is more geared for those folks looking to get a /slightly/ more play-by-play spirit of how things unfolded. In fact, I only recommend having a browse through if for some reason, you have an urge to well... just look at a lot and lot of screenshots -- many of the shot angles/perspectives being repeated in other screenshots but at different times during the event, etc! Thanks for reading. ))
