Prologue
Far in the North downs in the region of Nan-Amlug between the ruins of an ancient kingdom lies a desolate mining outpost named Othrikar. Settled upon a hillside the dwarves of the west delve for riches beneath the earth. Caravans loaded with ores, silver and gold track the old paved road towards the vast halls and vaults that lie under the blue mountains. Since the expansion of the Durin’s Folk Trading Company (DFTC), a delegacy of longbeards can be found in Othrikar working around the clock. They share the outpost with another trading company known as Goldthumbs Mining Company (GMC) who has been mining there for many a year.
From the beginning there was an uneasy peace between both trade companies what turned into a healthy competition. In time the list of incidents between both companies grew ever longer ranging from theft to attempt of murder. Before this would turn into a kinstrife (which is very uncommon among dwarves) they face one another before court.
