My fathers armour.

"To be honest, when I was little the world seemed so narrow, so dark and so... lonely. Now, it's open and free. I can do whatever I wish. My name is Ashlae Hjort and this is my story..."

"One, two, three! Ready or not here I come!" The little girl of seven winters giggled and ran around the large house in her cream dress. "I'm going to find you Nolan!" She ran through the kitchens looking for her older brother, dodging the servants and some plates that had been dropped. She then ran into the main room looking around, she checked behind the seats, under the rug, even under her fathers map table but she could not find her brother. She wandered over to where her fathers armour was and stared up at it in awe. No one not even the servants were aloud to touch it, but she saw her dog Red behind it and she ran to her nudging the armour my accident.

The armour fell, causing the little girl to flinch inwardly and watch the armour crash to the ground. She looked around scared waiting for her parents or nanny to come running in. That they did, her father first, then her mother and then her nanny. All looking at her in disappointment though her fathers face was growing more angry by the minute. He trudged over to the little girl growling loudly as Nolan walked in surveying the scene.

"I told you to stay away from the damn armour! Are you that stupid you can't follow simple instructions!?" Her father hissed.

"I-I'm sorry da!"

"Sorry doesn't cut it you little brat!" Her father's hand struck her cheek "I should of dealt with you when you were a babe I knew you would grow up to be stupid and worthless to a husband!" Her mother stepped forward

"Norwin, stop. This is isn't hel-"

"Shut it!" Norwin turned to look at her mother as he gripped the little girls are tightly which made her squeal and whimper because of the pain. "I suggest you all shut your mouth woman, before I have to put you in your place" her mother quietened and backed away to Nolan's side. "Get out! All of you! So I can teach my no good daughter a lesson she won't forget" her mother left along with the nanny, Nolan too after giving his young sister an apologetic look.

"D-da"

"SHUT IT!" The little girl screamed and cried as she was hit.
