North Downs Campaign: Free Peoples of Evendim

Northern Garrison sentries have reported increasing enemy movement on eastern borders of the North Downs in recent months. The Garrison intends to address this growing threat in the coming months, with the help of the local populace.

Event details:

Sentries serving patrol in Northern Eriador have reported increased enemy activity in the North Downs.  The Northern Garrison fears that the newly established Orc and Hillmen fortification in Dol Dinen will serve as a strategic point for enemy legions to launch offensives from the Ettenmoors.


Garrison sentries encamped in surrounding regions will require the assistance of local militia and warriors in an offensive to defeat this fortification.  Officers of the Garrison have already secured commitments with several kin within Bree and are now expanding this request to Free Peoples in Evendim who have respectable combat experience.

First Marshall Mattharan will be leading willing warriors from Tinnudir to Esteldin this Saturday.

OOC details:

This event is the first chapter of a multi-week story-driven epic. Content "chapters" will be advanced every two or three weeks to allow for maximum participation. Last week's rally was from Bree.

We wish to make this epic as F2P-friendly as possible, so all activities within this campaign are PvE (non-instance). In order to accommodate environment balancing, we will require the use of inferior armour and/or weapons for level 40+ at a certain point. This will be made clear through OOC sections in event postings.

Each event is designed to incorporate a specific practical, fellowship-based gameplay tactic. We expect those in participation to respect the orders of those designated for leadership.  Sentries of the Northern Garrison, as a kinship, follow a strict leadership code that we wish to maintain that throughout this campaign.  Leroy Jenkins need not apply.

** For those of you who joined us in last week's journey, please note that we decided to not advance the story until a later time. This event is a repetition of the first event, albeit in a different region. Feel free to use an alternate character if you wish to participate! **
