Gathering Supplies, part 2
((Second part of the story, after this part the story will be up to date and next one will come when we have moved further on with it.))
The sun was shining as it had just risen over the mountains surrounding Kauppa-kohta. Dhordur just got out of his tent and was heading fr the mammoth that they had with them. He checked up on it and gave it some food, it was a bad rent they had done. The beast could fall down and die anytime on the journey. Dhordur shook his head and then headed for the tent that Hlifa was in, as she had fallen ill n the journey. He checked up on her, but she was still ill. She was starting to get better but needed more time. Then he headed of to a fire close by, there Thorlaen sat and had just finished cooking a small breakfast. They finished their breakfast while talking a bit about how to proceed. Then they headed for the mammoth, they took Hlifa and put her on the cart again. Just as they had done that a figure had come up to them, another Dwarf it was. It was the Holgi. Dhordur had just heard about him and what had happened to him. He seemed to be lost in a way as he did call Thorlaen by another name.
After the introductions had been made they set off again, soon they would be in warmer lands. Dhordur could not stop thinking on what Holgi had been trough, a week before Dhordur had arrived in Zigilgund the rest had tried to take the Hot Springs back. Either it was one of the worms or maybe even a frost grim that had made Holgi's arm go nuts. Dhordur did not remember the story fully, now Holgi had been laying unconscious in his bed for a few weeks. Apparently he had recently awoken, but his memory was not as it once was, he did hardly even remember who he himself were. Now he had managed to get to them on their journey at least, hopefully he would be able to keep it together.
It was a narrow path they were walking, with the road being steep and icy. They had walked for almost a day already, it started to grow dark. In the dark they could see a fire up ahead, and shadows moving near it. It was bandits, praying on travelers of the road. That meant that they had just got into Evendim, they should have been able to figure it out as the snow and ice on the road had started to vanish now. Thorlaen and Holgi looked to Dhordur as he was after all the captain of the guard in Zigilgund. Dhordur came up with a plan and they started to put down bandit after bandit, until one of them saw them and shouted a bit. The rest of the bandits came running, there where six bandits left now. They went in for an attack, Holgi managed to put one down, Thorlaen evaded the blow from the bandit going for him and Dhordur just barely parried the attack on him. After a little bit of fighting, the mammoth growled. That startled the bandits a bit and put them off guard, the Dwarves took it to their advantage and moved in for a final blow. Thorlaen put down another bandit, Holgi drew his sword right into one bandit and then cut another one down. Dhordur made a sweep with his axe at the last bandit, cutting him in his leg. That made him to get down to his knees, then Dhordur cut him down quickly.
After that fight the Dwarves were tired, but they had to move on. They arrived at Ost Forod not long after the fight and directly headed for a bed roll.
The morning after the Dwarves met up by a small fire and had some breakfast. Hlifa was well again. They had a little chat about the trouble over in Othrikar and about the latest burning there. After it they split up and checked all around Ost Forod for the Hobbit they were going to meet there. Hlifa and Dhordur found him and started to deal with him, they bought plenty of crates off him. They got the cart loaded and ready for the next day, when they were going to head back towards Zigilgund. Then they set off and got themselves some ale and headed to get some sleep...
