Gathering Supplies - part 1 - Zigilgund

Gathering Supplies, part 1
((Was meant to be posted earlier. This have been happening for a few weeks now but never got around to post any story about it, but here is the first part.))

Dhordur Stonebeard had just got up from his bed in his office in Zigilgund. It was early in the morning and almost breakfast time. Firstly he was going to talk with some guards. Just after he had got dressed, he checked his desk after any new reports. He had sent off a guard the morning before to scout as the outpost still lacked a scout. The guard was going to scout the road ahead for any Dourhand activity as he was on his way to scout the old Dwarven wall Dhordur had stumbled upon before. It was located on the road towards Sûri-kylä. He was still looking for news and clues after his son that had been taken for so many years back now. As he had not find anything that could help him in the mines after the Dourhands had left it he hoped that the wall would give him what he needed. Now he headed out and went down to the entrance to Zigilgund. There he greeted the guards that was stationed there and had a little chat with them, getting news and information.

After his chat he headed up the stairs again and went to the fire. There he was greeted by Zabad Thorlaen, master of trade in Zigilgund and Hlifa Stoutarch, the cook of Zigilgund. Hlifa was cooking the breakfast, she always made the best food there, tasty and rich on energy. Thorlaen had just poured up three tankards of ale. They all started to eat while Thorlaen told them about the latest news. He had just got a letter this morning from a Hobbit that used to sell them good supplies. that was good news as now the storage started to dwindle and they were in need of new fresh supplies. This Hobbit was awaiting them in Ost Forod in Evendim with their new supplies as he did not dare to go any further north. So almost directly after they had eaten up and poured their ale down they all got ready, getting a mammoth that the others, before Dhordur came there, had used to travel to Zigilgund. It was rather old and in a little bad shape, but they were told that it could still wander long.

They set off, after a little bit on the road, it was rather steep. The mammoth almost slipped and just as found it's footings again a frost grim appeared and was heading against them to attack it seemed. Thorlaen put it down quickly, after some ill attempts of Dhordur, it was rather slippery where they were standing. As they were about to keep walking, the mammoth slipped and almost crushed Hlifa under it. Hlifa was hurt and could not walk so good anymore, so Dhordur helped her up onto the mammoth. They kept going and stopped by a small settlement and were allowed to stay for the night.

The next morning the set off yet again, this time they managed to arrive in Pynti-peldot. There they stayed yet again, this time it was cause Hlifa had started to feel sick, so they stayed for two days. Then Thorlaen decided that hey should try to keep going anyway, keeping Hlifa on the cart. So they set off and they were just outside the big canyon of Jä-kuru, there they met an Elf they never got the name of. He told them that it was not too safe to enter the canyon and decided to follow them a bit on the road to safeguard them. Dhordur was skeptical to it, as he have had difficult meetings with Elves before, so he was not too fond of them. Alas they headed into the canyon, after they had been escorted a bit, the Elf had to set off again. In the canyon there were several old Dwarven buildings, frozen into the walls. After a few steep parts they finally arrived in Kauppa-kohta. There they put Hlifa into a tent, hoping for her recovery. Both Thorlaen and Dhordur went to bed after their long journey trough    the canyon...
