Sitting by a small campfire near a tent, somewhere in the Misty Mountains, reading her own diary, drawing on a new page, lost in her thoughts and memories, Yule of Shire Rose was not about to change her ways, not even on this special day - as usual she would celebrate the anniversary alone with her thoughts. Four years ago, on this very same day, at about this very time of the day, during a very secret meeting at The Birth and Baby's Inn in Michel Delving, Shire Rose was born.
Shire Rose was founded by Yule on Thrimidge 9 by Shire Reckoning, during a secret meeting at the Bird and Baby Inn in Michel Delving with an initial membership of eight. The group was originally made up of free but very carefully selected hobbits with the mission of protecting the ancient lore, preserving legends, tales, and music, supporting friends, and protect the Shire Rose pendant from evil ,unseen and unheard. Not much had changed since then.
Yule had a very clear recollection of that day, it seemed to her that passing years only made memories more vivid and clear in the mind. Now the pendant was back in the Shire but for how long, she could not tell. This is how it was meant to be, the pendant never really belonged to the hobbits or the Shire, yet over the years it had become part of their history and they felt a great connection to it, even if its mystery was still eluding them.
Yule closed her eyes for a moment, and was transported back in the past , she saw smiling hobbit faces, people she had met, hobbits that had pledged their lives to Shire Rose. Like a true flower rose, the Shire Rose could look delicate in the garden, and yet it is a strong and hardy flower, blossoming every year in the warm spring sunshine, born from her frozen heart.
"Happy 4th Birthday, Shire Rose..." she whispered
