Leaving again

Another night waiting for the dawn to come, for another trip, to another land, for another fight. This time we’re going into Eregion, Arthasdir spotted his enemies from his past there and he needs our help due to their numbers. I cannot imagine what man would camp there in a place such as that… But we must do what we must. He’s an evil man, evil for his own reasons that have nothing to do with the Enemy, but still evil. This reminds me of my days as a sellsword in a way, having to take care of many things, much different from what I do now, but this job… I feel as a sellsword again.

The others returned in time, Rogue alone, Rothrian, Sparrow and Anriett]] with Fengdiel and Sarriya, in time just before finishing the Study. I put in it some trophies that I took from the Enemy while out on the road, a shield, a war-drum, some blades, even the head of a troll that Rogue sent me. I think they suit the main hall of the Study, after all it’s meant for resting and drinking and eating. I also shifted the two big barrels of ale, now it will be easier for me to fill my tankard when I finally decide from which one to drink! The meeting room has more maps in it and a ladder, a ladder that can be seen as a decoration, as well as a way into somewhere hidden… The Dwarves did a good job with the Study, I kept my office as it was, and the only thing that changed is that now I have a second keg of ale, the first was Rohirric, this one is Gondorian, I don’t like those Southerners but the ale is decent. And if the Rohirric empties I’ll have that one.

My mind is still on what Rothrian brought to me from where I sent them to. I didn’t read it yet, I will after we return, but it seems that what I heard was right… Angmar is astir… There is movement; it seems that that dead land comes to life. If they found something then something really happens, we’ll know soon, I hope I’m wrong! For now I will be ready to fight men once again, men who wronged other men and continue to cause trouble out there. Is it man’s fate to fight with man? No! It’s man’s choice to fight other men. Even now that we are at war…

Tomorrow I will make the route that we will take, Rogue is supposed to lead us safely there but we also need to be fast. I’ll find a route and discuss it with Rogue, make it fast and safe. Rogue spoke of the enemy and Arthasdir but he didn’t mention Colvomir and Pren, I sent those two as well. Not speaking of them makes me only assume that all is well and no one made any trouble, especially Pren who is prone to it.

I will know soon, for now I need to rest and finish my tankard of Gondorian ale!
