Well... This is quite the turn of events...
I've told pretty much everyone, now, except for three people--and considering some things, I need to hop on that and update them BIG TIME...
I've got a baby sister. And... the same day she was born... I found out that I've got a little one on the way, myself.
When I say baby sister, I mean it. And she is adorable.
I did mention that Dad legally adopted me, right? If not, for a wedding party gift, Dad gave me the official documents stating such. I'm... still happy over that, really...
Gods, my family was so tiny before in comparison to what it is now! All my aunts and uncles... I had 8 aunts and 5 uncles, now... now I've got countless aunts and uncles.
Anyway...
How did I find out I'm with child? Well... after the wedding party... I started feeling really sick... Was real sick for the whole day... so *a large, thick scratch covers what was once here* and I knew it wasn't the cake that was making me feel so sick. I hadn't even drank that much so it wasn't the brandy. I just thought I was coming down with the flu... but oh no... Didn't have a fever or anything.
Morning after that, *a large, thick scratch covers what was once here* called on Dal... who came by very quickly, at that. Asked me how I was feeling... and I told him what was going on... took me a minute before I realized what I was saying added up.
*These few lines are completely scratched out*
I miss having my daily tankard of ale, but... Well, it's in the best interest of the baby in my belly that I don't. And that's something I can deal with.
There's a lot about being pregnant that isn't fun... but... I have to say, I'm... kind of looking forward to when the little one's born... I wonder if they'll look like me or *a large, thick scratch covers what was once here*...
Oh yeah. Funny story time.
Okay, so there I am, sitting in my bed. Dal's chatting me up, telling me things I should do to accommodate being pregnant, and I hear this clatter. Of course, I knew Dad was in the other room, getting tea ready. I called over to Dad, to see if he was alright, which he was, so Dal and I go back to chatting.
Next thing I hear is a thunk, and I'm still chatting with Dal, but I knew I had to check on Dad. So I do that, and I saw the funniest thing ever.
Now... I'm shorter than Dad, okay? Imagine someone who's around four inches taller than me jumping on a table to get a dagger out of the ceiling... and still saying he's too short. So I call over to Dal, saying that he had to see it... and he meanders out... At this point, Dad's sitting on the table, pouting.
Dal asks Dad if he wanted some help getting the dagger out of the ceiling... Dad agrees. Scoots back on the table. Which was made of stone, by the way.
Dal gets on the table, reaches for the dagger... just barely touched it... so he jumps, gets the dagger unstuck, and when he comes back down... there was a crack... I knew my table broke then. Dal was sent to the floor, hit his face real bad... Dad was sent flying into the wall... and then there was me, standing off to the side. Of course, I'm freaking out because the STONE TABLE broke, then I started freaking out because neither of them moved for a couple moments, then I started to see to Dal, but he wouldn't let me whatsoever. Not even to clean his face, which was covered in blood by the way.
So Dad saw to him as best as he could.
Turns out Dal had a broken nose and a chipped tooth, though he also got a black eye from that.
Dad reset his nose... and Dal passed out.
Apparently, healers do not make the best patients...
It's quite a story to tell the baby...
... Gods, this baby is going to be so spoiled... *a large, thick scratch covers what was once here* is more than excited for them, which is a good sign... He's also taken well to Adara, my baby sister... *a large, thick scratch covers what was once here* is going to make a great father... I just know it.
I've also been waiting to start my training with Blince, but... Injuries put that off... and now the baby... While I'm impatient to start, I'll have to force myself to BE patient because it's going to be a looooooooong while yet.
