For a few days ago..she was the last friendly face I saw..
I left to carry out a task which my lord had bestowed upon me, I was to scout a route, more than that I wont say..I left Bree after long preparations, talking to some of my friends in Bree, Taala and Fiontann and introduced Ennerin to Taala, I think that they got a long well after I left to continue with my preparations for my task and journey. I remember meeting Fiontann the same morning I left Bree and we spoke for a brief moment and I knew that..Ennerin would be safe if she needed help.
I packed my saddlebags and rode away, out of the west gate towards the Shire. The same afternoon I found myself upon a small camp on the side of the road so I stopped there for some rest and water for my horse, I had not been there long before I heard a voice..that soft and gentle voice of Ennerin, she had come to say good bye to me and to wish a safe return, Upon seeing her coming so far from Bree to say that since she did not get the chance to say it before I left gave hope and warmth to my heart. We talked for a while, I held her close, she seemed somewhat not willing to let go of me as she whispered to me and asked if I really had to go, my answer was a simple yet loving one to her as I asked her if she wanted me to go or stay and perhaps forever be the one that failed the house..
She looked up at me and smiled and whispered that I had to go, I had a duty to uphold towards the house, this marvelous maiden..how I love her so, I gave her a smile and a gentle kiss and told her to count me back by the sunset the forth day from that day but also to find lord Gerwolf if I was not back by then, letting him know I was missing if such happened, she looked at me with sadness in her eyes but with a smile and nodded once then she took my hand and handed over a locket, saying it was for good luck and I placed it around my neck, where it still is. I gave her a one more gentle kiss and mounted my steed again, looking down to her and told her to remember my words and I spurred my steed on towards the goal of my task.
I carried out my task in the days that followed, yet I had some fights with some of the enemies scouts, ending up killing them all so that they would never know I was there. I then began to make my way home. Home to Ennerin..
I reached the outskirts of Bree just as the sun was starting to settle down and I could feel the colder winter air gently blowing in my face, eager to get home I spurred my steed around Bree and towards the house and the estate of lord Gerwolf to deliver my report, I left a message with Swinrica that I wished to see the lord as soon as possible since he was not in and tended to some other duties before finaly..I was home..
I opened the door carefully and took a deep breath, taking my sword and bow and helmet and placing them by the side of the door as I got in, I could see the candles flickering in the bedroom and I walked in there..there on the floor amongst books I found her..she quickly jumped up and I took her into my arms, holding her to me, I was home..safe and she knew that now, I could see the happiness in her eyes as she looked at me and we kissed each other and spoke with lowered voices about my task before we got into the bed for the night, I held her close and gave her a gentle good night kiss and we then fell asleep.
As the early sunlight from the wintersun now touches the window, I am awake, admiring her in her sleep where she lies close to me, her hand resting on my chest, her head resting on my shoulder..her gentle breathing is the only thing I can hear in the room, the fire since long burnt out, the blankets and furs now keeps us warm and I can not help but smile for myself..this elf maiden is my everything, I will give my life for her as well as I would give my life for the house I serve..
A place of peace and calm..we both are going to my house this day..to be with each other..just her and I..
I better get some more rest before we travel so I will put away my book and quill and return to her again..
