Hobbit Lasses - A Poem

With their little toes
And little feet
Lightly tapping down the street
How can you but not desire?
The Hobbit Lasses of The Shire

With flowers circling
Their flowing hair
Fluttering softly on the air
You can never ever tire
Of Hobbit Lasses of The shire

In their coloured hats
And coloured gowns
Cotton ribbons all around
Dressed up in such fine attire
Fine Hobbit Lasses of the Shire

With subtle voices
They softly sing
Songs of gold and silver rings
There is so much to admire
Sweet Hobbit Lasses of The Shire

And on dainty legs
They dance and sway
Dancing happily night and day
Watch them sway around the fire
Fair Hobbit Lasses of The Shire

So shout it Eastward
And shout it West
Shire Maidens are the best!
Shout it from the tallest spire
Hail Hobbit Lasses of the Shire!
