To the frontlines again!

It has been five days since Fiontann got the letter from Rogue, the ranger wrote that he's in Annuminas and everything is well, they are under constant attacks but they do fine. All that reminded him of his time in Moria, where one couldn't rest as much as needed, each time they got to rest, the drums of the Goblins were sounding and they had to fight again. All that came as a sweet memory, those caverns, deep down underground... It felt like home... But these battles called him also, he was eager to fight again, fight and kill, spill blood, defend what is to be defended, kill those wretched beings from Angmar, and show the rangers how it's done.

Luckily, when he got home he saw Taala on the hammock, she got there to measure him for the armor he asked of her. Fion chose a plate armor, to make sure it will be thick enough to keep the sharp blades away from his flesh, as well as any rocks thrown from trolls. Taala had some armors ready already, so she only had to adjust them to Fion's likings, so, while having a dinner Taala made some sketches of the armor and Fion chose it. Brammy and a new member of the Dawn, Dwenn, joined them and after a pleasurable evening Fion had to get ready for the trip.

Annuminas isn't far but the trip is perilous, especially when one enters Evendim. Once Fion got close to the borders of the Shire he put on his armor, sure that it would keep him safe from anything that may come. He was making short stops to rest mainly Hedinn, since the horse was carrying double the weight he usually carries. The roads were quiet and empty, and the air fresh and chilly, so Fion had the helmet hanging from the saddle enjoying the breeze. He didn't know the exact way to Annuminas or to the camp, so he had to be more careful than usually. The road was full of the enemy, so he had to dismount Hedinn and wak carefully far from the path, ascending and descending small mounts and struggling his way through mud and the thick foliage. With his slow, but steady pace, Fion got close to the high walls of Annuminas, the once white walls were now green and dirty as the enemy got ahold of the city.

Fiontann left Hedinn some paces behind and walked ahead by himself, on a cliff near the front gate of Annuminas, his aim was to scout and see how many guards were there and if he had to fight his way inside, but that was too risky. He was to concentrated on his task and he didn't hear the patrol as it was passing by him, and the helm didn't help him see them till it was too late. There were three of them, one he managed to dispatch fast and two were left, Fion fought hard and kept them back. Until he got a kick that pushed him on a pillar behind him, he looked down and grinned under the helm, as a crazy idea struck his mind. After some powerful blows he managed to get a hold of the two opponents and jumped down the hill. The armor kept him alive with no injuries, but the two light-clothed Angmarims needed some time to get up. He kicked one of the two in the face, getting time for the second one, at that moment he heard a similar sound. Someone was fighitng nearby... He managed to cut across his opponent's stomach and dropped him dead, the moment the others got close, it was Rogue, dropping one dead and fighitng the other two. Fiontann smirked at the sight and threw his shield on one of the two to give time to Rogue to be done with the other. The Angmarims didn't stand a chance alone and fell dead without difficulty.

After the fight Fion stood and watched Rogue, who was looking at him without trust, obviously thinking who the man was, clad in armor, with a red helmet with horns, all bloody form the men he just killed, spilling their intestines on the ground. Fion took the helm off and smiled at him.

"A hawk told me that some rangers fight here, so I came to show them how it's done." he said and the two men embraced each other. Rogue lead Fion to the camp, silently taking out any Angmarim guards that were on their way. Fion go lucky using his bow by finding a man's heart when he shot. He was surprised to manage it.

The camp was full with rangers, but their numbers were still low, they are awaiting more, Rogue said, so that they can attack two strongholds. Fion thought of that, but his thirst was great, he found the barrel of ale and the two agreed to meet later for the oncoming fights, side by side once again, send those bastards back to where they came from.
