Thoughts of Alwig Siward

I sometimes find myself questioning certain aspects of Gerwolf. He always seems calm yet I see in him there is a rage, a rage that once erupted with provocation. He bears the hallmarks of a well respected man, even if he did serve about an hour in jail since I've known him. But what I question most, is his refusal to rid himself of a burden completely. I have made it no secret I despise the person responsible of being such burden, I have made it quite vocal a few time in fact. I remember quite well, my acceptance into House Thalanduin, how this burden had caused a row, and all for what, because he believes himself better then everyone? Because he is so egotistical? Or because what he claims to be is in fact a lie?

I know not.

What I do know is any man, willing to pull a blade on a fellow kin man, is not to be trusted under any circumstances, nor should he be still alive after threatening the life of the Lady of the House, yet Gerwolf refused to have him killed. So many times this burden had blemished the House's name, yet he thinks he has done nothing wrong, he thinks he can wander up to any member of the House and act like he is an ally of the House.

I will not lie, my frustration on the matter is great. Even though I can see the merit in Gerwolf's sparing of the pathetic life, it has frustrated me that due to his act of kindness, the stain on House Thalanduin remains
