Children of a Kolten

- Zurich -

Written by Blince

==================================================================

Blince stood at his gazebo, pipe between his maw and his cane clicking in time with the chirp of the birds while he watches Zurich, his apprentice, wander off on her way after their latest training session.

Zurich, one of the few apprentices Blince had picked, without having been pushed into it at one point or another. She was a sweet girl, sweeter than her life should allow her to be. She was innocent, and weak. But she was slowly getting better. Slowly.

Blince's thoughts brought him to the conclusion that Zurich had become, as he thought of her and his other apprentices, one of his kids. Because they always seemed to treat him as a Father, rather than a master. Was that his fault? He didn't know. He 'did' know that he didn't have a say, however. As long as they listend, he would continue teaching them.

But with Zurich? She's too much like himself. Responsibility leads Blince through most of his actions. And this was one of them. This girl would not be destroyed by her own destiny. She would turn it on its head.

He was there to make sure this happend.
