Ravannan was all but ten years old when her mother who left for an adventure never returned. News arrived that she had perished. She doesn't recall how it came to be for her father never spoke of her mother and so she grew up doing the things her mother would do with her.
Growing up as a recluse, she never made any friends and spent most of her time in the fields staring into the sky and watching the clouds. Her father, who is a historian, spent most of his time working and therefore was too busy to mind Ravannan. It was his way of grieving but at the cost of his relationship with his only child.
As Ravannan grew older, she learned to cook simple food and provided the meals in the household. While she enjoyed doing this, she felt her calling elsewhere, for she too had an adventurous streak in her just as her mother did. While her father was busy with his apprentice Fimlach, Ravannan would pretend to go on quests and defeat makeshift flour sack brigands.
At the age of 318, she decided that she would go on an adventure. Her father discouraged her and forbid her to leave Lórien. This sparked an argument between them and the same night, Ravannan snuck out of the house on her first adventure leaving only a note for her poor father saying: Father, this is something that I must do. I do love you very much and I will return soon. Please remember to feed yourself.
