((A continuation of, Where it all began.))

Still upon the sturdy horse, watching her surroundings move away swiftly.

Eventually she found herself,  gently being lifted off the horse.

Before her was a camp, along a river.

Tents were present, as well as a roaring fire.

Being carried in sturdy arms, she then was placed before the fire.

She had looked up at the men around her and now having the time to sob.

She took the chance.

Her arm was being tended to, though she was so distraught, she could not feel the pain of her own arm.

After her arm was tended to, her chin was lifted up.  A man with grey eyes,  which was that of her rider, he had looked into the child's eyes in which was  Carvireth at the time.

"We are the Dunedain, friends to your kin, and in our company you are safe."

Her light blue eyes, growing wide.

Her Mother had spoken briefly, to her of them.

She had simply called them "Elf friends."

Telling her she could trust them, should she ever be in  their presence.

Bowing his head, the Ranger had spoken again "Your parents, they have fallen, if only we could have been there sooner, we had heard orcs  as we were scouting and followed the cries, but it appears we were too late."

Trembling, the young Carvireth had looked up at the Ranger "What.. is your name?"

He had smiled "To your kind I am known as Megildur, Sword, for I cut down the enemies of my companions."

Megildur had  sunk down to her eye level, "You will be part of our Company, and I will train you to defend yourself."

He continued "We are called,  The Company of Light, the men that surround me are that of my brethren, they too are Dunedain, think of yourself as our kin from this moment forward."

He had stroked her hair and looked up at the morning sky, "A new beginning is what I give you, we will mourn with you, laugh with you, and protect you with our lives."

Therefore her journey began...

For good or for ill.
