Cynraede and Adunabel sat around the fire, Cynraede trying to continue to read and spell out the beasts that Sybri had drawn for him. He was working on 'Deer' when Adunabel nudged him, nodding towards a fox that held a parchment in its maw.
"What sort of elvish devilry is this?"
Adunabel asked quietly, looking to Cynraede, who stood and went to retrieve the note.
"Thank you my friend. It is a note, from the Lady of Arrowhaven. Read it, for me?"
Cynraede handed the letter to Adunabel, whom looked at Cynraede with a smile.
"You're the one learning how to read, not I. Try your hand at it, and I will assist."
Cynraede gave him an irritated look and sat down, beginning to try to read it on his own. He sounded out each letter, looking to the fox whom still stared at him for a moment, making low squeaking noises. Adunabel tilted his head, and looked to Cynraede.
"What is it saying? I do not speak fox."
He asked as he laughed and nodded to the fox. He looked to Cynraede who was now moving to his horse, quickly standing up and following him.
"Wait, where do you go?! What is going on?!"
"She calls for me, she needs my aid, I must go. Ride south, do not stop. I will meet you there when I am able. How am I to know what the fox said, they do not speak."
He smiled and kissed to his horse, bolting off in a full gallop towards home.
