My Lord,
The Ambassador is an appointed servant of the House, and as it is obligatory on him to exercise his service to it, this does not preclude prosecution of members of the House. As the Ambassador served for many weeks under the leadership of Lord Veryacano, he bore witness to the manners and attitudes of those persons directly involved with the unfortunate incident in the Southlands, and has made detailed inquiry after the fact, and therefore acquainted himself further with the circumstances. As my Lordship well knows, inquiry and fact-finding are procedures designed to produce an impartial finding by a third-party.
No doubt some may think the Ambassador has a personal interest in the matter, and that this would make him a Very Poor Prosecutor, because it would be impossible for the Ambassador to make a division between his public and private interests, but he assures his most noble and sagacious Lordship that he is solely devoted to the purpose of the House: Seeking Justice, and his energy cannot be diverted from this task into sources of gain, or loss, to any individuals, except what is his or her due, and no more nor less than that.
Furthermore, it does not seem that any other has come forth to take on this onerous and intimidating task. The case cannot be decided on its own, and the Ambassador respectfully points out that the Lords must be satisfied with the best they can find in existing circumstances, so that a trial may proceed. As pursuant in Article VII, Section A, of Order of Appointments, The failure of any of the Cauns to make an appointment, or the failure of the Cauns to do any of the things authorized by the regulations of the Law, shall not preclude the Lord from taking any action. Furthermore, Section G, Requests for Substitution of Counsel, states any appointed servant of the House may request that a competent person be selected as Prosecutor, when a substitute must be put in place of any other choice, and hence,
The Ambassador, as appointed servant of the House, in respect of the reasons stated, thereby requests appointment of Prosecutor.
Your most humble and obedient servant,
Parnard Teludarion
Ambassador of Bar-en-Vanimar.
