OOC note: This adventure will serve as a log for the duration of the time we are on the road. It will likely remain unfinished until the event is complete and we are back home in Bree. I plan to update it after every night of RP. Please also note that this is strictly for OOC reference, and this does not exist ICly. Its main purpose is to serve as a catchup guide for anyone who may have missed a day previously, or to simply review what happened the night before.
Day 1; 28/3/14:
Synopsis: Departed from Bree via the West Gate and made for the Forsaken Inn. We rested there and had a bite to eat, then continued on our journey to Ost Guruth. Whilst scouting ahead, Flyn encountered Iliah, where she attacked him with her crossbow. No major injuries were sustained, though one of her bolts managed to scared Flyn's horse off, leaving them short one. Luckily he was able to ride on one of the packhorses for the remainder of the day's journey. Iliah was then tied up and taken prisoner until their arrival at Ost Guruth, where they questioned her.
They camped within Ost Guruth and resupplied there in preparation for the journey to the Last Bridge.
Attending: Flynagin, Vilhjalmr, Seaver, Rannie, Dezra, Firen, Gilderick, Tarlwin, Regnwald, Oldgrove, Vauren, Iliah.
Riddle: If it is me you'd ask, crossing a river ain't no simple task. When your are the last around and no others can be found, seek to the darkness.
Interpretation: The riddle is found underneath of the archway of the Last Bridge on the Hoarwell.
Day 2; 29/3/14:
Synopsis: Departed from Ost Guruth on foot, paying the stablehand to watch over our horses whilst we are in the Trollshaws. We brought with us the two pack-horses with the necessary supplies and arrived at the Last Bridge by nightfall, setting up camp a mile North of it. The group split up, whilst Flyn and Vil went to the bridge to search for the answer to the riddle. Whilst they were searching, a trio of stone trolls approached the campsite, bickering amongst themselves. After the group retreated, they were luckily not spotted, however the trolls proceeded to catch onto Flyn and Vil's scent and pursued them instead, forcing Firen to act. He heroically went after the trolls to distract them and give his two companions a chance to escape with their lives, however he was too late for Viljhalmr's sake, as he had already been captured in one of their sacks. Luckily a naked Flyn escaped with his spear and the coil of rope he had been tied to and found the survivors of the campsite. Seaver pointed out that he remembered the location of a stone-troll cave nearby. They ran to the grotto, taking the chance that this might be the destination of the trolls and proceeded into an attempt to snatch Vilhjalmr back from one of the trolls without engaging in combat. They climbed atop the overhang on the cave, ready to lasso Vilhjalmr back out from the hands of the troll whilst Seaver was inside the cave. They were noticed by the trolls, and as they quarreled, fortunately the sun rose and they were turned to stone, blocking the entrance to the cave with Seaver inside. With the rope, Flyn pulled Seaver out from a gap in the now frozen trolls. They returned to camp later.
Attending: Flynagin, Vilhjalmr, Seaver, Rannie, Firen, Gilderick, Tarlwin, Regnwald, Iliah.
Riddle discovered: Unknown as of yet.
Day 3; 30/3/14:
Synopsis: The group split into threes: Flynagin with Gilderick and Iliah, Seaver with Rannie and Tailia and Firen with Norlackale and Regnwald. The RP revolved around cleaning up after the mess that the trolls left behind. All three of the groups went out to find the horses that had bolted, with a side objective. Seaver's group managed to find the horses, and return them to camp, as well as search a nearby Troll hoard, where they found an amble sum of coins. Flyn, Gilderick and Iliah then headed to the Last Bridge to search beneath it for the riddle; this time it was a success and Flyn noted down the riddle. Once he returned to shore, he discovered Iliah with the spear he had left, pointing it at Gilderick. They reasoned with her, and they agreed that she would receive her freedom the moment she laid down the weapon. Firen, Norlackale and Regnwald encountered a few scouts out from Imladris whom they spoke to, then returned to the camp, having found no trace of the horses. Later, they spoke around the fire about what the riddle might be about, and discovered little in the means of a solution.
Attending: Flynagin, Gilderick, Iliah, Seaver, Rannie, Tailia, Regnwald, Norlackale, Firen, Vilhjalmr
