When I came back to the place we were given to rest in Caras Galadhon, there was no one here. I had no idea where to find lord Estarfin, and so I took the time to care for my instrument. I was playing a melody when I was finally joined by the others.
It was nice to be able to play once again without a care in the world. Without wondering if the sound was attracting beasts or men to us. I'd have kept on playing if lord Veryacano didn't joined us as well to talk of what we were going to do.
Lord Veryacano decided to go and see lady Galadriel. He took Parnard with him. While they were talking and distributing orders, I joined lord Estarfin and asked to talk to him later... Away from curious ears if possible.
Seeing that there may not be time enough for me to gather what I may need if I waited to talk to lord Estarfin I left our company and went back to the talan where I got more healing supply. I took some more supply just in case, and lowered my food supply to be able to keep all the healing supply I got.
Then I ran to join again our company and caught up with them at the stairs before the door of the city. We were to follow lord Tindir to the docks while lord Veryacano was looking into lady Galadriel's mirror.
There lord Estarfin stopped and asked to hear what I had to tell him.
From him, in answer to my questions, I learnt that lady Nirhen would not pass the borders of Lothlorien but may wait on the other side of the river. She would probably need no food, which was a relief to me because honestly I now had none to spare, but maybe would welcome healing supply. Maybe. If she was not too proud to accept it. But... Well... I think I should try.
We then joined the others on the docks. We were lent two boats to cross the river to Mirkwood. Lady Elvealin (who I was surprised to learn, was in Lorien) joined us on the docks, with lembas for us for our journey, as a gift from the lady.
We crossed the river and arrived to the camp in Mirkwood. So close to Lothlorien and still feeling so unsafe... Lord Veryacano told us to gather information from the elves here. Well, I didn't much care for information on the lands nor the direction where we might find Feahelka's company. However, there was a healer here with probably more information about what I may encounter as a healer in Mirkwood than the healers I saw in Lothlorien.
And to my... surprise I learnt about more poisons than I wished to. Oh, I knew there was dangers of poisons in mirkwood. I just didn't know how heavy the danger was nor how many poisons I may encounter.
I now am indebted to the healer here, Mindir is his name, for he gave me a sample of the rarest antidotes, and those I didn't have already, and an example of the plants I would need to collect to get more of these antidotes.
I came back to the others then and asked for Parnard's help to get these plants on our way, and lady Sargiel proposed to help also.
Of course, the announce of a very real danger to end up poisoned didn't touch anyone and even seemed to amused lord Veryacano. Or maybe it was my reaction to his words at the announce there was more poisons in Mirkwood than there was trees in the forest.
I went to talk to lord Estarfin again. Apart from the others. And I wasn't happy to learn that lady Nirhen wouldn't approach such camp and probably didn't know of the varieties of poison in this area.
Well... I now needed to get her a sample of the antidotes as well as a warning if possible. But first... I needed a larger sample of the plants to get a better supply. To share the antidotes with her (in hope she would accept them of course) I needed to have enough of it to be shared.
And besides, I needed to get it simply before someone did something stupid or stupidly brave and got poisoned. Though if by any chance our company was to kill a spider, before they got rid of the corpse, I asked them to keep me a sample of the poison.
To that, lord Veryacano answered : 'I am sure you'll be able to get yourself plenty of dead spider samples.'
Yes, that only just confirmed my feelings that we needed the antidotes as soon and as much as possible.
So I enlisted the help of Parnard and lady Sargiel to come and help me look for the plants right away, while the others were searching for information or getting ready to depart.
Luck was with us and we found some of them. As we got some I encouraged Parnard and lady Sargiel to go back to the camp. First it was almost the time we told the others we would be coming back and second I needed to get more supply I would logically need to get so it was better if I was to finish alone. I was grateful that they accepted and went back to the camp.
I took a good supply and followed them rather quickly, and came back toward the healer to work and get as much information as possible on these different poisons. Time of actions, results, symptoms...
Now... I just had to hope that I would be ready when (and sadly not if) one of us will get poisoned.
I still don't know now what lord Veryacano saw in the lady's mirror, but considering his reactions and Parnard's reactions when we ask, I suppose it is pretty bad. I suppose we should hope he saw only a possibility of what may be, and not what really is.
