A package for Burlnard

A small parcel, approximately six inches long by five inches wide, is delivered to Burlnard. Within lies a solid gold statuette of a woman, worn now but with some detail still visible, along with a carefully sealed letter. The letter itself is written in a delicate, cursive script.

Burlnard,

I found it! It was exactly where I thought it would be. The wights in the area did not give me too much trouble, thankfully, but there were a few heart stopping moments I must admit. I imagine that there is much more to discover in that place, but perhaps my leaving it now will draw me back this way in future days. I wish you had been there with me; it would have been good to have you at my side, friend. Your arrows could have made the dig so much easier and your company would make the days less lonely. I am used to the danger and the solitude however, so do not fear for me.

I will depart Bree-land now in search of other treasures. I have heard rumour of a place to the north, the North Downs, and within it an old ruin called Fornost. This will be my next destination, I think. If the tales are true, there must be much of interest within. If my map is correct, then there is a town along the route by the name of Trestlebridge. I may linger there for a day or two in order to learn more of the land ahead, and of my destination.

The gift I send is for you to do with as you will. Sell it if it pleases you, for it is old and worth a great deal of coin, or keep it as a means to remember me.

I will write again when next I have opportunity,

Goldie.
