Waking Up

I should have written down the events of what went on before I found myself waking up in Ost Guruth, because now as I write I can't seem to remember the more significant details of what went on the night before. This won't be another memory of drinking merrily with hobbits, I've learned my lesson not to do that often; but rather, I'm so exhausted and sore from the battles Miss Lexi and I found ourselves in while in Garth Agarwen that it all seems too much like a blurry mess of fighting and retreating. What I do remember is escaping that region, noting that Miss Lexi had taken a notable amount of damage to her armour and no doubt her body. We arrived in Ost Guruth without making much contact with the people there. Had they seen us, surely they would have caused a small scene... No, it was best not to make ourselves known and to simply find a place to rest privately. I remember even thinking that I would do my best to tend to our injuries the following day, but I've come to find that Miss Lexi has disappeared.

I waited for quite some time this morning thinking that she had gone for food, or water, or perhaps to speak with the people of the town, but it didn't take me long to realise she had left the town altogether. I even thought that she may have returned to Garth Agarwen on her own to take care of all that threatened us the night before, but I know she wouldn't do something so foolish... would she?

No... I shake my head at the thought. From what I've experienced with her - if I can gather that returning to those evil lands would be foolish, surely she had reached that same thought far before me.

Travelling out of the Lone Lands.

What I ended up doing was travelling out of the town towards the Bree Lands thinking that perhaps she would be in the land of Men. It was a bit of a long ride, but eventually I arrived in the city of Bree. I had never seen such a bustling town, even in my homelands. There was a surprising population, varying in races, appearances, groups, and personalities. I have not interacted much since arriving for I still find myself weary from the ride and my wounds have not yet fully healed. Fortunately my training in healing has finally been put to good use. I was never the best healer, but I can aid as best I can and have found that it may save a life someday, likely my own...

Ah, but once again I am trailing off from my initial thoughts. I have walked about the town, asking if any have seen a dark skinned woman wearing white and blue painted armour who goes by the formal name Almaleksia, but no one has seen such a woman; though some feel it necessary to offer another type of woman that I have no interest in, particularly around the tavern. I should also note that I had carved her a special gift the first night we were in Garth Agarwen and she had fallen asleep. I thought it appropriate considering the bit of personal history she shared with me, and overall how kind she had been...

Perhaps someday we will meet again, but until then I think I shall remain in this town and see what it is that makes this city so abundant in music and charisma. I'm sure there will definitely be plenty to write about these next few days.

I found a nice place to relax quietly within the tavern. No small feat!
