Erik had recieved orders from a strange man in smelly dark clothing and he seemed excited this day however when he saw me watching him he began to yell as he always did when he saw me watching him. I swear his hatred for my father had made him despise me for looking like him or something. He began to pack our belongings and that's when my mother and him began to argue about us leaving yet again as we always seem to be moving. In the end she gave in as she always did and we were packed up and had left for a place I heard them call the Blue Mountains in a region of Eregion called rid Luin, which made me feel a bit excited since I loved the color blue, especially since it was one of my fathers favorite colours and his favorite shade was that of the Erid Luin Blue.
We had travelled for many days and the desolate look of where we had lived showed even more as we traveled into green fields, that then became a large swamp, through more fields and over long bridges. We crossed more fields and spend many days off of the road for fear of seeing others and when we finally stopped it was snowing and this fact made me happy for I loved the snow and even enjoyed the cold sometimes over the insane dry heat of where we had lived in.
Erik had led us into a scary looking cave entrance and we met a few of his friends as we travelled through the cavern to a small room-sized nook in the corner near a statue of a troll. He told us to sit in the corner and my mother began to protest, saying she wanted to take me away from this place and these people. Thats when he started to beat her. I was crying and I thought that Erik was going to kill my mother when the greatest and most wonderful of all miracles came true.
A hooded man came rushing into the room and grabbed Erik and through him off of my mother and into a wall nearby. He turned to attack the men who were with us and I feared for the strangers life as he was very outnumbered. There was two goblins who were working with Erik as well as four of the dwarves who I learned were called Dourhands. Before I could worry for a second longer the man drew both of his swords and cut down the six of them before he turned to face Erik as if nothing had happened at all. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. Erik's best friend was at his side and he lunged at the hooded figure but was parried aside and killed before Erik could help at all. Then the man stepped back and sheathed one of his blades and used his left hand to pull the hood from his head.
It was my father!
After a hateful exchange of words and curses their swords clashed and I cowered in the corner over my mother, shilding her from any future wrath that Erik may hold however my father disarmed him and kicked him back against the wall knocking him unconscious and then ran towards my mother and I just as two other stranger came rushing in to help us. One of them was a Dwarf named Bruuce and the other was an elf named Xbeus. The three of them managed to awaken my mother who was badly broken and as they did I noticed Erik escaping and I pointed in his direction and cried out,
"He's getting away daddy!"
Erik Amundrud had escaped and this did not seem to bother my father much at all as he replied,
"It's ok Phoenix, I have found you and your mother and that is all that matters"
My father knew of the dwarf as he and Bruuce Hall were old friend's from before my time and we learned that the elf was a great mage named Xbeus Kilkaido.
Xbeus began to heal my mother and as he was doing so my father asked asked him to stop before he had even finished,
"Leave her with a bit of pain so she may remember this day", is all he said as he forced Xbeus's hands and staff away from her. We made sure she was safe in the Inn back in Thorins Hall before we departed for Celondim, leaving her behind.
We travelled around the region of Erid Luin and my father began to teach me how to use the bow as well as swords like he used. Xbeus had a long and very strange story to tell and he seemed very excited to learn of my middle name until he told me why. My father and him discussed for a while some things I thought at first to be private until my father approached me and told me what was so important. It seemed I was special in the eyes of Xbeus and he had been searching for me for quite a long time. However the Dark Lord Sauron was also looking for me and that was why Erik had appeared and poisoned my mother in the first place. However he had a plan to hide me from the coming evil and they asked me me if I was willing to go through with it.
I nodded in approval and we decided to wait until my sixth birthday to carry out his plan as we thought it best for me to see my mother one last time as well since she would not be involved considering she had a weak mind and could never be trusted again.
May 9, T.A. 3018 - The day had been a great birthday for me and my mother seemed much better than we had thought but still my father insisted that we do not include her at the ceremony to be held later and although I felt wrong about it I still agreed with his decision. Bruuce and Xbeus brought me to the ruined top of the tower that lay in the water just west of Celondim. It was a great spot for we had to swim to reach it and it allowed us to be unseen from any others who may be nearby as well as we could hear if any intruders wishes to follow. Xbeus asked me if I was ready and I told him I was. I hugged my father and swam into the top of the tower where Xbeus had began to focus the last of his ancient energy. I looked at myself in the water and kissed the air and waved to myself as the light from Xbeus's incantation wove itself around me in a blinding light and then a blast of light enveloped me and I disappeared.
I saw many strange things as I seemed to whisk through the air at an alarming rate. Strange people and place I had never seen before flew past me and I felt like I was getting smarter as the time passed. I learned many new things in this time and finally I reappeared as if I had never left. But I was no longer the young elf from before.
Now a young hobbit girl stood in my place and in my reflection I looked as if I was at least ten years older which was caused by the rift of the magic changing from the Old to the New.
"Her name?", Xbeus asked her father, Crystopher
He smiled as he looked at me and then back to Xbeus and replied,
"Jinoa"
