The Games Are On !

The Games will continue for the next day or so with a music contest and a drunken race around the Inns of the Shire. As before a host of tremendous prizes await the winners, including Perlino and Cremello Steeds and Tasty Pies (TP) donated by the very generous and mysterious benefactor Mr. T. Urbine.
Whispers had hinted that the start of the Harnkegger Games might be a little eccentric, a touch more special than others we have witnessed. What no-one expected was that it would be quite so gloriously dwarvish with a hint of 'hobbitines' offered by the perfect stewardship of Master Ponso Pondhopper of the Shire Angling Club.
From the moment people started to gather at Thorin's Gate, the town was painted in blue, red, and white. music filled the air as ponies, horses and goats were prepared for the races. It was a constant swooping rollercoaster of noise, and searing colors. There was free food and warm drinks, courtesy of the lovely dwarven ladies of the Durin Folk, there was music from the Shire , and dances around the many fires provided.

The races was thrilling and exciting, the turnout excellent. The morning after the night before, and it’s time to shake off the hangover caused by an excess of ale and patriotic dwarvish pride and turn our attention to the next few days of games. Our reporters will bring you all the latest for the competitions.
Come along at Harnkegger Games and support your favorite, men, dwarf, hobbit or elf!
