We will meet again in Valimar [A march-lament by Hwethlenn]

Sounds the horn afar as tone alone
Sounds the call from Oiolossë's throne
Thither we gladly recede, there lies our meed

No fear of our fare-well
We are free of all what is fell
Where lie the world's sky-touching peaks
We go, when the horn to us speaks

We will meet again in Valimar
Let us feast beneath the brightest star
With the Gods in Valimar
For all eternity in Oromar

A solitary banner of sea blue
Wrought with Alfirin's silver hue
And in the storm wind it flew

Its Elves stand proud and leal
No dark force brings us down to kneel
Unfaltering we await their attack
We meet them hard and strike them back

We held the line and would not yield
The flag held high, starlit heaven above the field
Where many a hero lies now beneath his shield

We will meet again in Valimar
Let us feast beneath the brightest star
With the Gods in Valimar
For all eternity in Oromar

Through Mandos, Hall of the Slain
Away into the Blessed Realm arcane
Brothers, Sisters; throw off any binding chain

Silver trumpets ringing afar and loud
As we march, head held high and proud
Our duty we have done
Immortality we have won

Raise the cups, strike up a song
Out to Arda's King's Glory we have gone
Now he called us where we belong

Thousand tables richly laid
Golden roof, silver floor and doors of jade
Such hall lies beyond the last bourn
Follow us, when you hear the horn

We will meet again in Valimar
Let us feast beneath the brightest star
With the Gods in Valimar
For all eternity in Oromar
