Forochel - Head of the Wolf

The Chieftain aged quickly through years of hardship. Though on the outside he remains strong, tough, stern; though he still fights with the ferocity of a bear, and leads the tribe with honor - you can see the weariness in his eyes. Defending from attacks from all directions, fighting our Kaomin rivals in the north, dealing with all the problems in the tribe.. Most Chieftians and Chieftess' last a decade, and after so long at the head of our tribe, it can only be a matter of time before he hands over the reins of leadership to someone new..

My father Jekono passed when I was thirteen.. Which, left me with my Uncle as a sort of father figure. I became nearly as close to him as his own children, of which he has many - the child that went missing on the same day the Chieftain before him, included. Despite him having so many of his own children, it is strongly rumored that I, will be taking his place once he is ready. Something the Valkoinen, have mixed feelings about. This is primarily due to my travels to the south, they seem to believe that I may be inconstant, and leave frequently - but if the weight of the tribe were to rest upon my shoulders, I would not stray from the village, or at least not from the call of southerners.. Of outsiders.

The Chieftain of the tribe, needs to be many things. strong willed, but able to compromise. A stern fighter, but a good speaker. Feared by outsiders, but beloved by the tribe. Fearless, but not reckless. Cautious, but brave. To lead people as fierce as the Lossoth, there is much to keep in mind. Perhaps, I am ready for that. Perhaps not. Only time will tell.

I have spent many days now fighting against the invaders in Evendim to the south of us, who are gradually moving northward. Too close for comfort. These despicable bandits, tomb robbers.. Digging up ancient dead, taking gold from their coffins - it is sickening. They won't turn my home into their next hideout.. Not as long as I live.
