Museum of Hunting and Fishing

The Shire Angling Club is opening its doors to the public. Club Chair and spokeshobbit, Ponso Pondhopper will host the event that will include a guided tour and talk on 'The Fish of the Shire,' angling demonstrations, and sale of rods and trophy fish. Refreshment and entertainment will be provided.

"This is an important development for the Shire," said Pondohopper, "Not only will we provide a permanent exhibition of Hunting and Fishing trophies, we will expand our Conservation Centre to improve the stock of game fish in our local ponds and streams. The Museum will be a centre for hunting and fishing and will be open through out the year, with regular events."

The exact location of the museum is still being settled: "We are in discussion with the Mayor's Office and will be able to make a firm announcement in the next ten days," said Pondhopper, "But I can confirm there are a couple of burrows we have identified as suitable for our needs."
