A Stray Dog

We departed at last from our makeshift camp where we stopped in order for Knot to recover after his fall,I must say,I was utterly shocked and I feared the worse, but he's of tough craft, that man.

We roamed towards our destination and entered the lands in which the Giants used to dwell,or perhaps they still do,but we saw none and so we paced forth.Unluckily, the Wargs seemed to have taken their place, they gave us a tough time those rabid beasts.

We crossed bridges and walked past what supposed to be the Giants' homes, built rather badly if you ask me,with stones placed one on top of another. We continued to climb the path until we arrived at the top,we stood there, troubling our minds with the tought if the entire journey was over and naught was to be found within that place. As we were about to walk down,Archer found a "Thief",a man who was hiding in the vegetation nearby.

He said that his name was Branith Stumpwood, and I can see the reason, for he's short in stature, and maybe even short in honour.Apparently,he followed us since this morning, curious to know what we were searching here in the Misty Mountains.Eventually,Alfknutr decided to let him come with us,a choice that me and Redwick despise greatly, but Knutr wanted to hear no discussion on the matter.Personally,I'll keep my axe at ready should he try anything against us,and he'd better not try anything at all.

We walked down and found a keep of Dwarven craft,an unespected haven in such cold place.Me and Archer walked on to bargain for some hospitality and the Dwarf that lived here gave us a day of rest within his halls.

For now,we're surviving, but this cold weather and these harsh lands will give us more troubles,I fear.Let's just hope to get out of the whole matter alive.

Signed,Threarn Stonearm.
