The Best Time Of The Day

And so back to the Shire, home sweet little home in Brockenborings, close to our families and friends, before the time comes for more adventures. It is summer and it is warm and lovely, the bees are buzzing , dancing happily from one flower to the next,  working to make the sweetest honey - the birds are singing early in the morning and at sunset , tending their younglings in the nest, and an orchestra of crickets  fills the  days with cricket songs in the tall grass. And so it is time for pear jam, and pancakes and tea and muffins and poems and stories, and friends and family together in the evening.....
