First Step into Moria

-the journal is scribbled in sindarin. The corner has bits of what appears to be candlewax on it.-

Finally got into Moria! The place is just like Gimli had described it to me. Cold, dark, and no place for an eldar. The minute I walked in after fighting this strange creature called the watcher, at least that is what Bosi called it, I felt like it was not the place for an elf. Dear Valar this place is the complete opposite of Imladris! How can those dwarves even wish to return to a place like this? To make matters worse, I had to leave Alyan, my beloved grey steed, outside since the mines are no place for a mount of his stature. Tulk has told me that goats are used as transportation here. Who knows, maybe I will be able to obtain one that does not reek to the point that Ada and Nana can smell it in Valinor. I am a bit surprised though. The dwarves here do not seem to really mind that our races dislike one another. I think they are meerly happy to have a helping hand, or paw in Bregolien's case, with the expedition. I shall write more as I continue my trek through this place.
