When both of them sufficiently tasted all the fine beers brewed by the dwarves and they waddled on their way home. So they passed by in the Shire, feeling it their duty as specialised beer-tasters, they offered their expert drinkingskills to the Inn League, making a rather abrupt detour before taking the road to Ered Luin.
