Dearest (and yet the only) diary of mine,
it was another rainy day in the Shire yesterday, which means that I had to spend the whole morning brushing Silas' coat. He loves mud baths even more than bucking me off to a pond. My effort was in vain though for after I had went inside to take a sip of my already cold tea, Silas was again entirely covered by mud.
In the evening I went to the Green Dragon to associate with the other hobbits, which has become rare. All that hullabaloo and fuss, but nothing really had changed: a new face there and another here but nothing unthought-of... "The quessential Shire". In the end everything will remain constant. We even played some tunes with Amorey and Tahitoa. It was quite a succesful evening and after the Dragon we gathered together - Amey, Bennidict, Bovso, Dinkum, Sandinia and Tahi and me - to relish some muffins at the fire inside the Plough and the Stars. It is still odd to think Bovso as a part of the Shire Rose. I used to ponder what it would be like if he was a Rose too... and now he indeed is one.

I slept the night at my parents' in Bywater and the following morning - this morning - I took care of their old wee garden and found few very early bloodworts. My Ma promised me that I could pick them so I thought they could brighten Amey up... she has been feeling sad for weeks. But when I rode back to the Plough and the Stars, Mr. Tubwort let me know that Amey was still sleeping in her room.

Hence I walked myself to the waterfall, where I know this Nairn's poor misadventure happened, to leave the flowers on a rock. I met him many times too and what a complaisant lad he was. Surely always friendly.
After that in the evening I only decided to take my old pony Pudding out for a short walk but encountered Balving instead, this lad we had met yesterday in the Green Dragon. A pleasant lad, very afraid of ponies and a bit shy, I think, and he told me that he gets lost often. So it was even now whereupon I helped him to find the way back to the Plough and the Stars Inn.
Now, I believe it is time to slumber and then some biscuits will be baked...

Snoozing amonst the flowers...
