What are they like? - Wights can be described in one word. Nasty. Their flesh wreaks of ancient death, and many of them carry diseases with them. They are all discolored, either with greenish, or grey flesh. Many of them have rotted eyes, but those that don't are typically beady and yellow, or red. Most of them are hardly clothed, as much of it rots away over time, or falls off upon resurrection.
What do they do? - If a wight doesn't want to kill you right away, they are known to do several ceremonies where they kill as a sacrifice. Little is known about these rituals, but they are typically known to be for the iron crown.
What to do upon an encounter? - Wights, are not invincible. They are very weak to light, and nothing can survive decapitation. They are not very strong by themselves, despite being impervious to pain, and can be easily dealt with one at a time; however it is rare to find them alone. They generally stay within barrows, or below ruins, not so fond of scouring the lands above.
Why encounter them? - Treasure seekers are known to peruse Wights, since many of them are buried with silver and gold coins on them. They also have treasures buried within their tombs, golden tools used in their rituals, and expensive ancient weapons on them. Hunters of treasure, and fortunes face these sorts in groups, or alone; they typically use longswords and recurve bows. Those who come out alive, tend to be very wealthy.
