Grand New Year's Song

Grand New Year’s Song

As the day gives way to evening, to Songburrow we all go
For the Grand Order New Year’s party, and the Hall is all aglow
With light from lamps and candles, shining bright in every room
Even our little mouse is happy, since we hid away the broom

We are all dressed in lovely garments, and we gather around the food
The tables are all bursting, with things that will cheer your mood
There’s pie, there’s pork, there’s brandy, and there’s even biscuits too!
We pile the plates with our favourites, then we fill our mugs with brew

Now it’s time for the Songburrow Strollers, they all gather on the stage
As they play songs and tunes from the Shire, all the hobbits soon engage
In dancing, songs, and bouncing, they all party the night away
And the Hall fills up with laughter, as the night gives way to day

Now the party is near it’s ending, so we roll out the brandy keg
Everyone takes a sip of the good stuff, and soon have wobbly legs
We smile and wave goodbye, to them hobbits and folks we hold so dear
There’s warmth in the thought of our good friends, may yer all have a happy year
